Yes m this is where I was raised, for 27 years if you pan to the east north east, you will see my child hood house, lol that things is getting bigger each year, $300 plus dollars per person to get in the gate , and no sales at the gate, all the tickets are in advance only, the reason it is there because cal-city was making them pay double permit prices, so they moved out side the crookedness hands of cal-city limit’s, and purchased 500.00 acres, there, the owners live in Hisperia Victorville area, so thanks for the view, keep up the good California work buddy, thanks BigAl California.

Seems like everybody insists gular fluttering is done for heat regulation, but I have some indoor quail in 78F temperature and the sometimes do gular fluttering as well. I've assumed it's a sign of stress, but I haven't found anybody suggesting it is a stress response. Right now I've got a hen who has suddenly taken to chasing the rooster, and when the rooster has found a safe hiding spot where she isn't bothering him, he will do that gular fluttering non-stop, long after the chase has stopped - he's surely just very stressed out, not overheated.

Boron was a lot different back in the 1960's before the freeway bypassed the town and when most employees of the U.S. Borax Mine and Refinery lived in town. Not sure where you got the info that it was called "Borate." Borate was a mining town 3 miles east of Calico (East of Barstow.) Kern is the county .

I am VERY familiar with this area by driving through it for decades before and after the bypass was built. I wonder if any KJ businesses went out of business after the bypass opened. Gosh, I remember all the traffic bottlenecks through KJ with the vehicles and big rigs and the VERY dangerous driving conditions when Hwy. 58 was only one lane in each direction in that area and beyond. Glad 58 is more safer now after the bypass was constructed. Anyhow, thanks for the neat video.

Both the Krame Pilot and the Chevron stations seem plenty busy. US-395 Traffic is apparently enough. Boron Loves 6 miles west is very busy. Flying J going in at Edwards AFB Exit on CA-58 approximately halfway between Mojave and Kramer.

@@randytolle6706 Thanks for your notes. I LOVE the KJ Bypass and feel MUCH safer now driving on Hwy.58 than I did for decades before the bypass, esp. at night. No more big rigs coming near me in the opposite lane. Glad the KJ businesses are still doing well and yes, that Boron Loves always looks busy day and night when I have driven by there this year and in recent years since it was constructed.

I had similar complications with IMR 700X powder. As a remedy, I disassembled the unit and lapped the plastic mating surfaces with 600 wet or dry paper on a slab of granite. After assembly, I used 2 springs and resolved all problems. This worked for me on the Lee auto Disc powder measure unit, including my upgrade to the "Micrometer Adjustment" charge bar, over the multi-hole discs. People trash the Lee powder measures, yet I have loaded literally 1000s of rounds, with many different powder types, all within 1/2 of a tenth variation at most. The 700 X is never a problem for me, used in the majority of all my pistol target calibers and loads. Originally, when attempting to achieve consistent charges, invented many new profanity definitions, until I took the time to dial them in. My Lee powder measure is equal or superior in feeding and consistency to my prior Dillon brand unit.
