In this video I will show you how I created a custom third brake light for my TJ after I performed a spare tire delete. Since the spare tire carrier has the third brake light built in, removing it may cause you to fail a safety inspection. This should keep you legal. So seems pretty simple but I had to look for a video on how to put radiator cap on correctly because mine will not seal.... I'm afraid I may have stripped the fill neck. So any recommendations other than getting a new radiator?? I have tried a few different caps and they all seem to allow all of my fluid to come steaming out 😢
@@scottrose6442 If you’ve tried different caps and you still have an issue then there might be a problem with the neck. Not sure how to fix that.

I did something similar with a trailer side marker light. It's like a sideways rectangle. I used a plate on the back of the vent and ran the bolts through to hold it in place
I was initially worried when I saw that it is a 3 min video. My thoughts are, it must be a complicated process!

Which one is positive ?
For the speakers I purchased the fatter prong was positive and the thinner one was negative. It was labeled on there too.
Nice Job! I'm think about the same except I will fill the all six slots with these lights. Do you worry about no spare tire? Can somebody explain the need for a vent here? I have a loose soft top so I doubt is has anything to do with inside the cabin at this point.
I only use the Jeep locally so I wasn’t really worried about being stranded. TBH I’ve never had a flat on my Jeep
What kind of screws did you use to install the speakers? I’m working on a friends Jeep and can’t find what type of screws were used because they lost some.
I used the original screws that held in the OEM speaker.

99.9 % of the time positive on a speaker is on the "right" side when looking straight on it,,meaning looking at it the tabs on bottom

Your stock speakers are paper, so you thought it would be a great idea to replace them with boss audio speakers 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. $20 and they will sound like $20 speakers.

Great idea and video, I did this on my TJ today and works perfectly. Was exactly what I needed. Agree with other posters, TJ options are really limited and this is a genius idea.

How do you remove intake manifold on that engine and replace fuel injectors? No videos on that anywhere
Haven't tried that yet, but I may do a video on it if I figure it out as I'm dealing with a misfire and might need to replace one of my injectors. Still trying to diagnose right now.
Today my radiator cap was leaking crazy my radiator where the cap fits it has two small plastic slots and i don't know how its not on correctly ??

Just installing this now and my 06 LJ didn’t come with the plug for the cc actuator. Any ideas what I should do?
It sounds like your Jeep wasn't pre-wired for it. In that case you would need to add it. I think there are some videos on here of that.

@@---rg1gb after looking into it, the easier route would be finding a donor jeep with the correct harness for it. I still have yet to get around to doing it but pinning the pcm with a homemade harness seems like a lot of work so finding a factory harness might be the way to go if I can find one!

Just bought an 04 wrangler sport 2.5 4x4 with 97k miles for 6k! 4 in lift, XD bead locks, etc. I’ve owned a 4.0l and honestly prefer the 4 banger ! It’s an amazing rig! And your video is highly helpful 🤙🏼

U sound just like me most videos skip the important part leaving you trying to figure it out on ur own..thanks for the tip and the speaker choice I forgot about the boss set up. I had a boss head unit in my last jeep along with the 4 cylinder 🤮🤮 just picked up an 04 Columbia edition yesterday with 30k org miles the one issue is a popping speaker will ne ordering those speakers now..tnx!

Seriously, can the legal garbage! I'm more interested in legitimate builds! Those crooks never followed a single law and the ones they broke, at least some of them where to protect the public! And honestly some things they did where some very serious crimes! Anyway! I'm going to watch this video and hope that I can make this vehical safe!!!! Do you know if it’s the same adapter for the front speakers as well?
For my Jeep which is an 06 SE it was the same adapter. I did upgrade the front speakers to 5.25s as well though.

Did the wiring harness work well for the speakers? Idk why Amazon and Best Buy say it’s not compatible.
They worked for me. But I was installing on a 2006. Pre 2003 might be different.
@@johncena2336 i have a 01 and i can’t find any wire adapters for it cuz the 75-6514 is for 2002 and up. what year is ur jeep and what adapter did u get

Thanks for great video. You are so right, most videos skip right past the removal of the speaker and don't talk about what a PIA it can be to remove. I'm about to do my 97 TJ speakers and I'm glad I watched your video. I swear, I watch some of the videos and the job looks so easy but they skip all the details and by the time I do the job I'm cussing and throwing tools. Great job!
