Takk for hyggelig kommentar. Jeg var tidlig oppe denne dagen for å få med starten på feiringen. Regner med at mye er forandret i byen siden 50-tallet, men tradisjoner holdes ved like. 🙂

The translation is correct! I understand this is an annual event. A celebration of the shrimp, since shrimp fishing is part of the town's industry. Strömstad is a town I visit quite often, and I stumbled upon this sing-along concert and found it worth recording. A good singer and entertainer living in the town. Good fun!

What is here during the winter? It would be good to see a video of some of these places during winter as well.
It's a camping site much visited in the summer months for recreation, miniature golf, fishing and swimming. The winter months are rather quiet. I' ll try to make a winter video as well.

Coordinates here : 59.138564186183494, 11.039655529264918 There are a few cabins for rent at the camping site. Otherwise you can find accommodation in the nearby town of Fredrikstad and do daytrips, which propably is a better option. Links in comments is not a good thing, so I suggest googling for videos and other information. A visit will not be a disappointment !

It was the aftermath of a storm with torrential rains leading to floods and landslides.
