The distance to Oslo by car is 92 km. This is county Østfold. Much of the county consists of rural and suburban landscapes.

It was tuesday afternoon 17. of december. Yes, it's quiet and it nearly always is. Many years ago it was a busy marketplace with farmers selling their products. Nowadays it is almost empty. When people have to pay for parking their car and the town is surrounded by toll points, most people prefer to go to shopping centers where parking is easily accessible and free.

Yes , there are many of them around. Most of them are small though, not like this one. Obviously popular, and often packed with people.

I am not sure if it is the same in Norway, but traditionally thrift shops were targeted at people didn't have as much money as others, but now there is a movement here in the UK, especially among young people, where regardless of peoples income there are drawn towards charity shop/thrift shops as they are seen as a big driver for a sustainable world. Many of the young people I interact with on a daily basis are increasing buying their clothing from charity shops as their "little bit" of contribution to a better world environment.

The translation is correct! I understand this is an annual event. A celebration of the shrimp, since shrimp fishing is part of the town's industry. Strömstad is a town I visit quite often, and I stumbled upon this sing-along concert and found it worth recording. A good singer and entertainer living in the town. Good fun!

It's a camping site much visited in the summer months for recreation, miniature golf, fishing and swimming. The winter months are rather quiet. I' ll try to make a winter video as well.

Otherwise you can find accommodation in the nearby town of Fredrikstad and do daytrips, which propably is a better option. Links in comments is not a good thing, so I suggest googling for videos and other information. A visit will not be a disappointment !
