Sanwu pocket 488nm 60mw burning matches.

Just got my new Sanwu pocket in. Takes one 10440 lipo battery and is 60mw of 488nm. Camera just doesn’t do the color justice. Showed for color comparison is a 445nm Chinese “Gatling” 1.2w and a standard 532nm green laser pointer. Lit two matches with the pocket laser, then the rest with the Gatling.

Hey I just bought the same laser from sanwu and mine is not bright at all or powerful. 488 nm cyan. I bought a 10440 battery through Amazon could that be it?
Yes, the 405 nm is better for distance burning as the 445 nm with same output. In the past i had a 300 mw 405 nm with not so good beam quality, because the lense was not in order. The beam had a little crack in direction to the side of the host (i then send the laser back and exchanged it for a 1.1 w 445 nm). But despite the shortcomings of the 405 nm laser, its burning ability was still very good even at a distance of several meters. Visibility was poor. So, when the 445 nm arrives, it blows me away compared to the 405nm. At the moment i'm waiting waiting for my 635nm single mode diode- pointer with 200mW from Sanwu.

Is the beam really that visible in person? I'm surprised it is that visible in a lit room with just 60mw.
Kinda yea. There was smoke in the air from burning previous matches which makes it more visible, but even without smoke it’s pretty visible.

The Sanwu 505nm Cyan 50mw will light matches also.
Do you know the duty cycle for q 520nm 50mw sanwu pocket?
@@ladenjacobsen2368 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off. Those little ones get hot quick.
@@ladenjacobsen2368 man, I'm sorry- I was wrong!! Duty cycle for the 520 is 60 seconds on, 80 seconds off. I just checked Sanwu's specs..glad I did..sorry about that!

The beam expander expands the beam width wise, right? By doing this does it decreases the concentration point where the laser hits a surface? Not really sure how that works.
Just makes it bigger in general. Goes from the normal output beam dimensions of like 2mm X 4mm to a larger 1inch beam. Really helpful for lasers that have horrible divergance

Yo..!! That's was epic is a 8 watts from laser. But, if you press keeping on, off, on, & off. Laser diode is completely broke. I had a buy my laser pointer green 303 to smiling Shark. To test it how long be gonna diode is broke..?? Maybe my laser is 200 Watts Nano Meter.

Mr.Roy Sebastian ah, ok. Sounds like the laser diode died or burnt out. It can happen with the cheaper high power lasers.

the most coherent low divergence high power blue laser diode i found was a 3.5W 445nm, also there are '3x beam expanders' for sale on aliexpress

That was the Gatling right? besides all that, I also have the Thor H 3W 445nm, a Thor H 2 520nm 1W, and alot of other assorted lasers... And 4 days ago.. I got it in the mail. The one.. The only, WHITE LASER MODULE!!! DUUUUUUUDE!!! I HAVE A 1w RGB WHITE LASER MODULE!!!!! AND I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!! @@Ganymede3310 I personally love the Thor H .. It comes with attachments, and it's own batteries The Thor H2 is HUGE !! it's very big, and the safety feature SUCKS! If I could go back and try the Thor "Ultra" Instead of the Thor H2, I really would.. I will say this much.. The Thor H 3W is right at the same brightness as the Gatling 1.6W that you have, You can shine the Gatling Blue right with the Thor H 3W blue, and can't even see a difference.. The only difference is in the burning capabilities .. The Thor 3W Burns ALOOOOOOT BETTER than the 1.6 Gatling. Now, with all that being said... The H2, I have had a couple problems with my H2, 1, The safety switch on the bottom of the laser, you have to be SURE you twist it, because if you don't, the main button is VERY sensitive, and will fire at the slightest touch, I almost blinded a guy the other night because the safety switch was still activated.. also, the H2 I received has very thin threads on the battery cap, so every time I put my charged batteries in, I struggle a lot.. If I could go back, I would have gotten the Thor "Ultra instead.. But I have had 0 problems with my Thor H. I hope this helps you in deciding.

I’ve never personally owned one but my cousin has had one for 6months or so, and loves it. I’ve been checking out the dovpo topside and it looks sweet! I’ve had a couple dovpo’s in my day and they’re built tough. They’re just a bit more pricey.
I bought one through a well know online mod dealer and had the same exact issue. They were gracious enough to exchange it free of charge and...........A week after vaping off the new one, it’s happening again. Very disappointing.
Apparently it's a leak around the squonk pin, has a short from a drop of liquid in the circuits. I'm hoping a can of compressed air will fix it

Andreas Tzimboukakis it was focused, I just wasn't holding it at the right distance. hard to see the beam with the saftey glasses
