I don't know if it's truly peak. The overall game, especially the combat, are great. But the story is hampered any time Milla is onscreen. Everyone's constantly kissing her ass, and even during the portion of the game where she's absent, the focus is still on her and characters are crying how they can never be like her.

Just getting in to the tales series cannot find a commentary walkthrough for this game how I ended up here

I’m utterly proud, no matter what anyone says, that I got the PlayStation 100% completion for this game. It was one I felt fully invested into getting (apart from SO:TLH). The completion was epic! Plus, the story was amazing, so was the subplot for each character. This, to me, was a well-rounded game that held my interest, and was something I could recommend to a newbie into the Tales series. I got hooked initially on Symphonia on GameCube, and I’ve been a fan ever since 😊

Tales of Xilia is the best part for me personally, it doesn't change the fact that the sequel was a shocking disappointment. First I got the game almost perfect and later weak continuation.

You should put a flash warning on your videos when you botch the subtitles the way you do. It isn't cool or interesting; it's an eyesore and can only imagine how others feel when they watch this stupidity flash across their screens.

Justice for Tales of the Abyss btw. My personal favorite story and characters in the entire series and nobody fucking talks about it.

The thing that sets tales of berseria apart for me is definitely its characters and not so much that’s it has an edgy tone. More that these characters starting with velvet is not all good and nice and trying to do the right thing and all. That’s not a knock to those characters that are I love a simple save the world with the good guys story but being able to play as a revenge focused protagonist in a “tales of” game is a cool twist and seeing these characters grow was refreshing compared to past tales games. Again not knocking them I have played most every tales of game and have loved or at least likes all I have played.

I was just thinking about this game when the main music and battle theme (the slow version) came in my head.

My favorite Tales Of game. Went straight into it after i finished NiNoKuni. Both probably in my top 5 on PS3.

I want to like the Tales series. Beseria was meh, Arise annoyed the hell out of me. I will try this one. Vesperia is on my backlog. Hope these titles are worth it.

I have lost count on how many times I have played Tales of Xillia. I have played it more times than Xillia 2 but that is not a knock on Xillia 2 as that game is also fun for me but I have to give credit to where it is due and that is with the game that sent me on a journey all throughout Rieze Maxia and Elympios hunting down all of Aifreads Treasures,doing all side missions and going through a onslaught of boss battles one after another to keep up the tension and hunting down the Devil's Weapons to unlock the key for end game Magnus Zero which is where I like to go up from Lvl 70 up to Lvl 99 and I must emphasize you buy 6 Stone Charms before you take up the gauntlet as there are monsters in there that petrifies you and your entire party and failing to take note will mean having to start all over from a game over losing al of that progress. Trading in inventory to max out the shops for the best items and gear in the game, The auto point distribution system within the Lilium Orbs is so useful for me since I like to speedrun the game or to see how fast I can push myself, The story is so enjoyable on both Jude and Milla's stories and the soundtrack is so good I listen to it daily even when I am not playing. I live for Xillia and if there was a game I would play for the very first time it would be Xillia but as it stands I have pretty much mastered the game and I still would keep replaying the game.

Tales of Xillia is probably the worst RPG I've played and definitely the worst "Tales of". The characters are badly written, they are uninteresting with little to no character development and the story is the boring and illogical type of "power of friendship". More specifically Jude is the generic brainless do-gooder, Alvin's double agency got old too fast and Gaius is the badass-wannabe who ends up as the enemy without logic whatsoever, even the likeable ones(like Elize) have moments out of character that don't make any sense. It's 1 of the 2 games that I was beggin them to stfu because I couldn't take anymore of their nonsensical dialogues. Xillia 2 on the other hand might be a recycle of the first game(maps and characters) with a few extras but it has a story a lot better and the few new characters are well written. Worth playing, not like its predecessor.

I have a really hard time with Fate in general since I used to be a huge fan, but I also have a toxic ex-friend who sort of poisoned the well for me. As much as I want to like Fate again, I can't stop thinking of them when I try. With the remaster coming out I'm really considering giving it another go, but I'm still on the fence. Good video though!

I got fatigued by this game by the end, especially with the lack of levity in the dialogue. It’s all slow plodding doom and gloom.

Xillia was awesome! It’s up there with Graces F for me. Xillia 2 I fell off of because of immediately being placed into some kind of grindy debt to pay off. Maybe I should push past that and give it another shot?

Scarlet Nexus is pretty much a direct spiritual successor to this game. They even improved upon dual protagonists too.
