Incorrect bulb replacement! This is replaced by opening the trunk and pulling out the black cover in the trunk lid, then unscrewing the bulbs! Under no circumstances should you take out the light!

I went to store where they install the light bulbs when you buy them. He struggled for a bit and needed to get another tool. Came back out, struggled more and handed me my bulbs and said he doesn’t have the tool he needed. I went home, watched your video and replaced them within 5 minutes with a flat head screwdriver. You rock! Thank you SO much for this video!

New problem with this, this year. FRAM and SuperTech are now selling the wrong size for this for a Sonata, an inch too big. FRAM has reused their old part number for a new size, and Super Tech's version a tad too big so the fans don't unfold (air will bypass their filter when fan fold kinks in on the sides). Should've returned here, and followed Flora, Microguard 3701, from O'Reilly's Auto Parts. Would've saved myself a lot of trouble.

If you choose to replace the light this way, you have to watch out for the clips on the side of the light housing. One of mine got bent up in the removal, would not fit back properly and I had to superglue it in place.

Thank you! I was about to tear the whole trunk apart. A tip tho, tiny bit of grease on base of the bulb makes it easier to remove the next time

Why do other videos day to take the entire trunk cover off?

Tip- keep glove box door closed when removing rubber grommet/clip through the side opening . It is easier to remove/replace.

There is an arrow on the filter which shows which way the air flows. Notice she did not check this.
