Ikem Mazeli, aka Material Onye Nwe Egwu, is a renowned highlife musician from Onitsha, Nigeria. His musical journey began in primary school, where he was a lead dancer and flutist. He later joined the Anglican Youth Fellowship and became its lead vocalist, honing his skills and developing a unique style. After forming the Onitsha Ado Youths Band in university, he pursued a solo career, inspired by Sir Victor Uwaifo. Mazeli's music promotes and preserves Igbo cultural heritage, earning him awards and international recognition. He has performed globally, entertaining, educating, and inspiring audiences with his talent and passion.
