WATCH FULL VIDEO BELOW
th-cam.com/video/cqYqMCQdO7k/w-d-xo.html
Follow Julius Caesar’s daring rise from a powerful council member to Rome’s most controversial dictator in Part 2 of our documentary series. Witness how Caesar, armed with ambition and an unmatched ability to navigate Rome’s dangerous political landscape, secured supreme control over the Republic and reshaped the course of Roman history.
In this episode, you’ll see Caesar’s ascent against incredible odds, his alliances and rivalries, and the decisions that granted him unprecedented authority. With power comes peril, however, and Caesar’s path was marked by challenges that would ultimately seal his fate. One of the most captivating turns in Caesar’s life was his fateful meeting with Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt. Their legendary alliance-and the romance that captivated the world-cemented Caesar’s influence far beyond Rome’s borders and drew him even deeper into the web of politics, power, and betrayal.
But Caesar’s rapid rise to power fueled suspicion and fear, leading to one of history’s most infamous plots. Surrounded by enemies and those who feared his growing authority, Caesar would ultimately meet a tragic end in the Senate chambers.

    I can't stomach watching these videos with their lack of objectivity. Trujillo wasn't about an "unquenchable thirst for power", it was a never ending quest to make the Dominican Republic great, to help it and it's people achieve it's promise. That of a land of extraordinary resources and it's people to finally have a stable and prosperous country. That was the goal, that was the dream of that one man you seek to malign with this propaganda video you have manufactured. The Dominican Republic went through a before and after Trujillo's rule, it was no longer the unstable Caribbean jungle village, it was now a small stakeholder in the destiny of the Caribbean and one of the most important allies to Washington in the region.

    • @groundzonemedia
      @groundzonemedia 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I can understand why you feel the way you do and to be 100% honest they're was great strides towards economic prosperity under Rafael Trujillo just as there were mass killings ordered by his regime. But like the saying goes "do the end's justify the means". What part of this video do you feel was "malign and propaganda"?

    • @calrissianlando7792
      @calrissianlando7792 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@groundzonemedia There were no mass killings stop saying that. The Dominican's incurred in acts of constant self defense against an aggressive and expansionist state . The Haitians resisted the attempts to be pushed back to their side and they died as a result. No one ever mentions the decades of deaths, instability and trauma the Haitians subjected the Dominican's too. Trujillo worked in a rough neighborhood and he had to be just as mean so that not only him but his government to survive. You don't even mention how the communists like 14 de Junio, backed by Fidel Castro were constantly conspiring to overthrow Trujillo and bring communism to DR and how Trujillo successfully was able to thwart them.

    • @groundzonemedia
      @groundzonemedia 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@calrissianlando7792 Regardless of the context behind WHY he killed people you still haven't denied that he did kill. The biggest example is the Parsley Massacre in 1937, the assassination of Jesus Galindez and the Mirabal sisters, and the attempted assassination of Rómulo Betancourt and others we'll never know about. I want to make it clear that I'm not trying to cast any moral judgment but we have to be honest and truthful about the complete history of Rafael Trujillo. Sure there was some good that came about but don't let you're emotions or perception get in the way of the truth to the point that you claim "There were no mass killings". Make sure to subscribe and watch this video ➡ th-cam.com/video/N2huZ9WUH-Y/w-d-xo.html for more on Dominican history👍

      @@groundzonemedia SOME good? SOME good? Trujillo was a TITAN, he did what every President of a country with an ambition to create a powerful state would do. He created a modern stable country that stands a mini colosus in the Caribeann. All around the DR we have states that are either subjects or ruins. Name one country in the Caribbeann that has all that DR has going for it? Cuba? A post soviet disaster. Puerto Rico? Suffocated by the USA. Jamaica? A stagnant Caribbean destination with a shrinking population. Haiti? The Afghanistan of the Western Hemisphere. All the other countries in the Caribbean and Central America with the exception of maybe Panama and Costa Rica are JOKES. The Mirabals were part of a leftist insurgency and sadly paid the price of being linked to trying to overthrow the government. The Perejil Incident was no massacre, it was self defense on the part of a victimized country tired of constant violations and attacks. Galindez Fucked Around and he Found Out. Romulo Betancourt got lucky but he was a legitimate target when it comes to Geopolitics. Trujillo meant business and if his enemies were trying to topple him, he was within his rights to retaliate however he saw fit. Trujillo was a giant and the DR is better off thanks to his legacy.

  • @calrissianlando7792
    @calrissianlando7792 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This video is not worth watching since it lacks total and complete objectivity. This is an Anti Trujillo biased video. Trujillo's rule was not as heavy handed as this heavily slanted video FULL of disinformation misrepresents. Trujillo's rule was a boon for the country, the DR was always a simmering pot of plots, rebellions, Coup d'etats, where instability and violence reigned. The DR was similar to Haiti back in the day where governments would last months, and the President would get assasinated or flee for his life and foreign intervention loomed. The country was full of petty warlords that treated the land as their playground and no progress was being made. The borders of the country were open and the neighbors from Haiti were constantly entering Dominican territory to commit crimes at will and then dissappear on the other side of the border. The DR was in massive debt to the USA and it no longer had any type of authority over it's own sovereignty. The person who produced this piece of Anti-Trujillo propaganda does not give an objective breakdown of how dire the situation was and how necessary Trujillo was and how much the Dominican people appreciated his leadership and stewardship of the country. If Trujillo was not loved and wanted by the population he would have never lasted as long as he did. The situation got really bad at the end of the 1950's when a Global recession affected the Dominican economy, Communist Infiltration from Cuba in the form of actual invasions made the Dominican government clamp down on insurgent activities and the USA no longer wanted a fully sovereign neighbor to the south of it. Trujillo was in a conflict with Castro backed by International Communism in all it's forms and against the USA who after backing him for so long was now in the form of the Kennedy administration still trying to prove itself after the Bay of Pigs FIASCO was doing all it could to destabilize Trujillo and have him step down from power wherein they could install a new PUPPETT amenable to the USA desires.
