Really loved this video!! Instant sub haha excited to watch more of your stuff :) Also about the Rothko restoration: it’s INCREDIBLY interesting to me, since the color and getting the i k off was a challenge but also recreating the texture can be very hard. Because you can tell if a paint color doesn’t match but with a “solid” color you can REALLY tell when color OR texture don’t fit :) Theres a really interesting case with the painting “Who’s Afraid of Red Yellow and Blue III” by Newman, where a conservator (named Goldreyer) painted over the work in an effort to “restore” it after it was vandalized. Eventually it was found out because the entire color was different and the work seemed off or smth. Wich i think says a lot about not only colormatching but also the difficulty in restoring works that rely on a certain simplicity… Okay anyway, I’m getting off track. Great video and really nice takes, found myself agreeing with you a lot. Also big fan of the calm vibe u got going on :D (cat feature was amazing)
