    @killergirls That's a brilliant idea! I've often wondered why they don't have any other instruments of the violin family with different range. And the bass! It's gotta have bass!

    They're all amazing fiddlers in their own right. Viola isn't a traditional Cape Breton instrument.

    wonderful! A suggestion: There are 3 violinists. Why not one of you play Viola? This will add more depth, gives more tonal colors...creating a richer and fuller sound for the band's overall sound. The VIola can play the melody an octave lower at times...then counter melody...then bass lines.
