I'm Eleonora, I was born in Milan (Italy) and I moved to London (UK) in 2019.
I started Elendipity in 2018 opening a TH-cam channel to share basic crochet and sewing tips and tricks and simple projects.
Now Elendipity provides crochet and sewing classes in person and online.
We love crafts in general and we try to encourage everyone to grow their passions.
We think that teaching is a beautiful way to help others to find their passion and to create something with that.
We sell crochet patterns and we hold crochet/sewing workshops both in-person and online.

I just realized that I've always used yarn under for everything
@@Cwest2mi that’s good to know! Remember there is not right or wrong, just matter of preference! ☺️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😅
What if let’s say you had four squares laid out as a 2 by 2 square, how would you do it when it gets in the middle of the four squares, where all the corners are? Did that make any sense 😭
@MusicRecs4U usually in the corner of the square you have two chains, when you join the first two squares you use one of the chains, then when you join the other side, you will use the other chain of the corner. If you have 4 squares, you will join two squares at the time and then you join the 2 on the top with the 2 on the bottom, I hope this makes sense.
@ yes this makes sense thanks!
My husband noticed that I was looking at yarn bowls, but I didn't want to pay that much so I was trying ti cube to with a solution. He went to a thrift store and found a wooden bowl that had breaded trim around the top of the bowl and thought it might work. It not only works but beads aren't evenly spaced so I can use the gaps to feed different weights of yarn.
@@crittermama perfect solution! Thanks for sharing!
This was a smoother video, done slow enough to catch what was done. thanks I've seen other people's and they are rushed and sloppy. I never see what's happening.
@@luvnmybaby4ever thank you so much for your comment ☺️ I’m happy you found it helpful and informative!
Wow! Thank you for this VERY helpful video! I have seen so many LONG videos that still did not explain the difference!
@@jillwhite6778 thank you so much! I’m happy it was helpful ☺️
How do ll turn off music
@@milliewilkie1969 hi this a technical question for TH-cam, but I guess, with shorts, you just put the volume down or you put your phone on mute. There is not a “mute” button on the video that I know of ☺️
I like these because they aren't over a plastic form. Thank you.
@@lisageorgette8254 thank you 🤩 I’m glad you like them!

@@gireeshsahu here we go: elendipity.com/index.php/2023/10/16/granny-square-pillow/
For a cleaner color charge do what she does but instead of continuing single crochet do a row of slip stitches. Then continue the pattern. That way the color dips wont be so visible
@@DarkLordBubbles hi! Yes this is one of the methods to have a neater colour change but in some patterns it can alter the shape, so I wouldn’t recommend always ☺️
This is the most useful video i have evwr watched.
@@sarahharwood375 thank you 🤩
PILLOW This is SO cute!
@@JustLynnAllyson thank you 🤩 this is the link: elendipity.com/index.php/2023/10/16/granny-square-pillow/
Once the color change is done, how many stitches do you combine both colors b4 you cut the original off?
@@Geibel49 I usually bring the colours together for about 10 stitches ☺️
Pattern please??? It looks soooo beautiful!!!
Looks soooo beautiful-may I please have the pattern??
@@margarethuffer5310 thank you!! You can find the pattern at this link: elendipity.com/index.php/2023/10/16/granny-square-pillow/
PILLOW
this is great, but what do you do with those ends?
@@eeon_s8462 thanks! You will weave the ends at the back of your work like you do with the Granny Squares ☺️
I’ve been putting my hook through the stick yarning over taking it out and yarning under 😅😅😅
@@Dngjeg it’s ok! It’s always a matter of preference, there isn’t right or wrong ☺️
So cute!!!
@@oli4301 thank you 🤩
Front loop and back. Or front and front? Or back and back.
this has been so helpful! you explain things so well and show them so clearly
@@madmarblee thank you! 🤩 I’m happy it was helpful ☺️
hey! thanks for this. how would you tie off the ends of the wool though to make sure it doesn’t come out?
@@emiiiilyf_ hi! You will just waste the ends in the back like you do for the granny squares ☺️
Im so used to yarn over i dont think i could ever do yarn under, although it does look better on amiguri i wont lie
@@MalthePal123 it really depends on your preference! I do both but I personally prefer yarn over because I go faster with it 🤷🏻♀️
Thank youuu, I know what an invisble decrease is but it completely left my mind and the pattern I was following required it 😭
@@MalthePal123 I’m happy this was helpful ☺️
Nice 👍👍👍👍 work
@@Zunaira_45 thanks! 🤩
What size is this for???
@@jameevineyard1528 in the video it’s just a sample to make you understand the process. If you follow the pattern at the link in the description you can create a little basket with it.
I find this funny, I’m always sitting like the first with the boppy because I crochet while baby eats 😆

@@Krowa__- this is a tutorial to make things by yourself ☺️
It reminds me of Christmas 😄
@@Cadets93-ny7nt 😅 well I made it for Christmas, but it can be done in any colour you prefer 🤷🏻♀️☺️
I do the invisible seam, but with my crochet hook. That way, I’m using straight from the skein, and don’t need to stop for joins etc.
@@kiwigirlNZ if that works for you, then great! 😊
I'd like a magic door like that! How do i get one?😮 got way too much yarn to use myself 😅
@@Chakrenqueen wouldn’t that be super cool? 😅😍
@@elendipity I'd love that so much! ♡ The amigurimis turned out super cute btw! I'm way too impatient and can never follow directions close enough to make them xD I prefer blankets and such :D though I managed to make a stuffed elephant for the kid of a friend recently, but event that I winged without any directions xD
@@Chakrenqueen unfortunately to do Amigurumi you need a bit of patience ☺️
@@elendipity yeah... I don't have that :D but it's super cool to see what others do accomplish!

To make a big basket what would the pattern be and how many pop tabs thank you
@@irenecooper4776 to make a bigger basket, you will have to increase more the base. The pop tabs will depend on how much you want to increase the base. How much bigger would you want it to be?
So that you can put laundry into
@@irenecooper4776 you will have to increase a lot and go use a lot of pop tabs. Also if you don’t file the pop tabs very well the clothes could get caught in it.
I'm going to make 2 snakes using one of each and let yall know which one looks better. [Edit] I honestly just learned how to read the language of crochet and worry if I'm not following the instructions correctly....
@@IDFCSwagatron to be honest it’s matter of preference, and just take your time with instructions and patterns, there is no rush, crochet is meant to be relaxing ☺️
So creepily awesome!
