Glycemic Index Explained - How It Impacts Your Health
"Glycemic Index Explained - How It Impacts Your Health," will help you gain a clear understanding of what the glycemic index (GI) is and how it can affect your overall health. The video starts by introducing the concept of the glycemic index, which measures how different foods affect blood sugar levels. It explains how high-GI foods cause a rapid spike in blood sugar, leading to energy crashes and potential health risks, while low-GI foods are digested more slowly, providing sustained energy and various health benefits. The video further explores the impact of the glycemic index on weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular health, and overall well-being. By the end of the video, you will have an understanding of the glycemic index and its significance in making informed dietary choices for better health.

veliki preslav during 10th century was byzantine province...all these uniforms and equipment is byzantine
Yep, Bulgaria has a very rich history.. unfortunately the world dosent know about it , as tourism isn't promoted the way it should be.
Those now is not so big,as before, but they try,to select back them, coz was exterminated twice in Bulgaria, was used for army dogs, before.Be verry carefull, with them.Healt and happynes, from Bulgaria
Bulgarian here....this is bulgarian dog breed and it is very verrry smart,i had watched a tv show with a sheperd woman that told a story, how a foreign sheep get into their flock of 300 sheeps and the karakachan dog recognised out of 300 sheeps it and got it out ,another story is when a sheep got lost they found the dog with her after 24 hours staying by her side and guarding her from predators...they work as a team and each one have a special place in the formation, also they signal the sheperd with a different signal for human comming ,another dog comming, wolf etc and the signal for bear and for human is one and the same and i think it is because mentaly bears are the closest to humans and inteligent like people
Yes , they are extremely intelligent and independent at same time. Do not require a lot of human attention like other breeds but love it when you show appreciation from time to time. Our boy unfortunately cannot guard livestock now as he has never grown with animals, but guards the yard fiercely.
Засяват се около месец и половина два преди да се засади на място. Ако е много малък охлювите могат да го опасат. Така че всеки си прави сметката
Yes sure depends on the weather conditions and how you practice Алелопатия/ Allelopathy. We have had snail problems but on very specific plants but with right intervention we have gotten rid of then using natural practices.
Много полезно -- благодаря!🍀👏
Hope You are enjoying your life in Bulgaria, I have a Channel promoting all aspects of Bulgaria. I’m doing a video about peoples experience about living in a Bulgarian Village. Would you like to be in the video. It will bring Exposure to your channel as I will mention and link it in the video. It will require you to self film whilst answering a few questions.
Sure thing.. please reach me through the contact form on twotravelersstory.com so I can get your email ID and we can communicate further.
Please do not allow this breed to get recognized by the AKC !!
Any specific reason for that? They are excellent LGD's. The live long, are loyal, and do their job with least supervision. Would love to understand your though behind what you said.:)
@@twotravelersstory I would agree only as far as doing so might make them more popular and people would go searching to get them as house pets and/or backyard breed (we don’t need them in shelters like GP already are). They’re better with livestock to guard. Most people don’t know how difficult it can be to manage any livestock guardian dog breed, let alone one without a job. :) Otherwise, though, they’re a perfectly legitimate breed.
Yes in that point I would say yes. They are not house breeds, they need large spaces, lots of running around. They need their independence and unless one is able to give them that they shouldn't even think of this breed. They are not your regular fetch or play dogs.

I hope foreigners are NOT inspired by your video to move to Bulgaria and to take over Bulgarian villages. Bulgaria should stay Bulgarian.
Depends on how you look at it :) . It could increase the investment in the country. I haven't seen a lot of Bulgarians too enthusiastic to take on village life. If that was the case.. most of the villages should have been populated by now . What's your take on it? Why the reluctance?
@@twotravelersstory The youth have been brainwashed and seduced by western consumerism and moved to the west, which itself is dying and being colonized and overwhelmed by migration waves. Nothing good will come of it for the Europeans.
Thracian Dog...
These are the best dogs in the world, along with Greek Shepherd. I had one she was a rescue a Greek Karakachan, gone a year now and I am heartbroken. She was so beautiful. Karakachan is a very deep, complex and thinking animal, independent and stubborn. I really love this aspect of their natures. It's lovely to look at your video, and remember my girl. She was black type with the white toes and blaze on chest, a gorgeous animal. Extremely thick double coat.
Sorry for your loss, Hope you find another one to fill the void. Yes, they are extremely stubborn , that so very true, but then, they have their own way of showing their love and when they aren't happy.
Got one you are absolutely right
Thank you. I'm still recovering from her loss. I had to PTS and it was very traumatic for me. I lost my beautiful and fine Greek Shepherd the previous year and 2 cats. All rescues and been with me many years. I hope that in time I will be able to offer a home to beautiful dogs. My animals all came from the streets. They had nothing but gave me everything.
Осмар е първото село изнасяло грозде за Германия
Oh, I wasn't aware of that.. thanks for letting us know. :)
Great video, thanks for posting!! We currently have 3 Anatolian Shepherds and are considering adding to our pack. Do you know how these compare in size and temperament? Our male is about 140 lbs and females are expected to be around 120 when full grown. Any experience in how they interact with other breeds? I know some can be funny like that.
To be frank enough I do not have experience with Antolian shepherds. It took us a year and half to get the karakachan to get used to our Golden. But then we adopted him when he was two years and had a mind of his own apart from the fact that he was abused. If you get a pup it will be easier. But even then the best thing to do would be to talk to a professional trainer to understand the compatibility , disease profile etc. Karakachans if purebred can get close to 50 to 55 kg just a little below the Antolian shepherds. But I can say one thing, they are ferocious guard dogs and guard their territory and humans like it depends on their life.
Thanks, I really appreciate it. We try to start all our dogs as pups so we know what we're working with, can bond them to us and flock as soon as we're able. Good on you to put so much care into rehabilitating your dog! ❤
@@tinaberger485 the first two years taught us a lot.. we thought we knew dogs, but he changed our perspective and I wouldn't change a moment of it.. he is a part of our family now :) whoever had abandoned him.. lost a great family member..

Totally Agree, It took us a bit to get him used to the leash for a walk. Fortunately we stay in a Village so its easier to walk him. Rest of the day, he is free in the yard. Total protection :)
Very yummy recipe friend👌😍
Thank you so much 😊
For the informations i know karakachan dog is a dog that karakachan People have and the origins are greek like the karakachan People.
Yes, their origins are believed to lead back to the Thracian nomadic shepherds, the karakachan people in ancient Balkans. :)
The origins aren't Greek, it was bred from Bulgarians along with the Bulgarian shepherd, that's why both breeds look almost identical!
Another Greek nationalist spewing his delusions in the comments. This is Bulgarian shepherd so deal with it
If anyone is planning to get one and has questions, feel free to put them down. Ours was adopted, and we can share our experience and journey:)

I just stumbled on your channel. You've found a lovely place. I've been a few times in Bulgaria as my wife is Bulgarian. I also was in Varna which I liked. We had a nice fish dish at the shore. And of course shopska salad. I can recommend anyone to visit the country as Bg has a lot of ancient treasures, beautiful nature and old villages with traditional (partly) wooden houses. Most of all I like the people. They're open, warm and helpful.
Yes, it's a really beautiful country and has amazing people.Hope you get an opportunity to visit again soon.🙂

It's very nice. I love Bulgaria! All the best from Poland.
It's very nice. I love Bulgaria. All the best from Poland.
Thanks :) indeed it's a very beautiful country with amazing people. The villages especially are awesome for a family life.
Ah, the jumping in the snow face down is just a must for a kid (maybe even a grown-up) :) You can make one vlog-style video of the full walk in such conditions - from the warm, steamy coffee in the morning, to the chase with Kubar and Ari in the snow 😁
That was the plan this year, with the go pro, but then winter hasn't been kind enough this year as yet. Everyone else is happy , but I am a bit sad as I like the colder weather better 😆. You are just 25 minutes away. When it snows next will ping you to do the face plant .🤣
@@twotravelersstory will happily do so! :D
Found your channel this morning and really enjoyed it. We have lived in Bulgaria full time for about 3 years although bought the house 13 years ago. Was a holiday home now our permanent home. Will look forward to seeing more videos.
That is amazing! Thanks for your kind words, Yes, we have been a bit slow lately because we were getting the garden ready for winter and did not have time to make new content. We will be back with more content soon.:)
What is the name of the village ????????????????
It's Izgrev - it translates to sunrise.. and we do have some of the best sunrises around :)
same as in Germany in spring mostly everywhere especially here in southern parts of lower saxony . tons of that ;-)
Yes spring is the season.:) these yellow flowers and seeds are not good for dogs, so we have to be extra careful when they are about to be harvested.
Sir the way you shared your story here reminded me of the Photography classes you used to take back in NICC. So glad you are settled far away from India and happy with the family. Convey my regards to Ma’am aswell. Best wishes to all of you.
Thanks Praveen :) Photography will always be close to my heart, Unfortunately don't get to teach here anymore or I would have gladly done it.:)
Thanks for your reply. I have tried to read it up a little . Maybe the " renaissance " you mentioned refers to the stuggld for an independant Bulgarian church with its own encephalite. ( Previously part of the Greek church at Constanstnople.) This deems to have been completed in the 1870s , so I guess new church building in that sort of period ( 1858 in this case) might seem logical. I would be interested in anything further you discover.
Exarchate 1870
Yes it seems C19 th Bulgaria had a renewal including in wider society, e.g. introduction of universal education. It was the world " Renaissance " that made me think of C16th western Europe.
I am interested in the hurch , délicate to St Petka Paraskava. You say built in 1958 but the tranqcript writes 1858. Which was it? You sau also " during the Rennaissance period."What and when was that? Was there some sort of " renaissance" in Bulgaria? To me the term " Renaissance " makes me think.of 16C th history in western Europe, e.g. palaces in Italy, châteaux in France , Tudor period in England. How often is the church in the village used for the Liturgy? Thanks.
Yes , when recording I mentioned the incorrect date , so I corrected it in the transcript. About the Renaissance period I will research more with the village elders and a few books. The church is open to pray for people on Sundays and the father visits on all the religious holidays.
The renaissance in Bulgaria began half a century before the one in Western Europe. For reference, the frescoes in the Boyana church. Unfortunately, a little later the country fell under Ottoman rule, which set it back 500 years.
@@kalinxristov1654 Is there a book In English on Bulgarian History? In PDF form, I would be interested in reading it.
@@twotravelersstory I have no idea, but there are many clips on TH-cam with Bulgarian history. We ourselves currently have a major problem with a piece of history related to our origins.
@@kalinxristov1654 thanks for that very helpful znd interesting information. I am interested in the Renaissance. But in fact hete he was talking about something else: à period of renégat much more recrnt!
I have just come across your channel. I am learning Bulgarian. It wailed good to get your perspective of how your learned Bulgarian as foreigner. Thanks
My wife is a Bulgarian.. I can read Bulgarian pretty well, learned the alphabet on my own. But speaking is really difficult because I can't wrap my head around the grammar as yet :). If people speak slowly I can understand a lot of it, but I am nowhere close as yet to start speaking it in everyday life. That said I am using a few books to try and learn it. The process is slow because we speak English at home because the kid needs to improve her English skills.
Where do you stay? This looks like Kirilovo near the Turkish border
It's the village of Izgrev, near Kalimantsi, about 23 km from Varna.
I live in izgrev too .. Sunrise 🌅.. But in the elenski balkan
@@mefinlay1780 If I am not mistaken there are seven Izgrevs in Bulgaria right? Correct me if I am wrong please :)

When you have a house with a sunrise the same .. also loads of streets are called the same ..mnogo cello as well
You have a lovely home and the village is perfect! The dogs have a great place, too. I live in a warmer climate here in the USA, but we do get a little snow and plenty of low temps in the winter. I'm tired of the long periods of heat, but don't want the long winter months like where I grew up in Michigan (USA). Bulgaria seems perfect, and especially affordable.
Yes, Rightly said Kim. The best part about Bulgaria is the fact that you can pick a region as per your choice of climate. Nearer to the Black sea coast the winters are not severe at all, they see snow probably for a few day through the season. At the same time the country has snowclad peaks across three mountain ranges, beaches, forests and not to forget healing hot water springs.:) Affordable? Yes but a significant margin I would say.
just saw your other video for the first time, so i looked through your other videos and saw this one. Who is the photographer, traveller and writer ? I have travelled to 34 countries and worked on 8 cruise ships in America and on the military bases in Germany as a photographer. I want to write a book one day, but not done any writing yet, maybe one day. I am also into classic cars. Where are all the single women in Bulgaria ?
The man here is a photographer.:) I used to teach photography for over 6 years and worked as a professional for over 20 now.
@@twotravelersstory nice... Do you still do any photography now?
@@VWApachey yes I do it, for the website and we shoot weddings professionally. But it's not full time anymore. I work a job and do this as a side gig.
Hi guys, I just stumbled across this video and found it pretty interesting. Not sure if I could handle that snow though, how cold does it get in winter ? I live in London and would love to buy a place with about a minimum of 1 acre with a massive barn , with maybe a river or stream running in the back of the land, but not sure that I can handle the - degrees temperatures that I hear you get over there in Bulgaria. Out of curiosity are there a lot of blacks or Asians in your area, or any single women ?
Hey Mark, Glad you liked the video. We have been staying here in this village for over three years. The coldest that I have seen is close to -9 degree C. But with the winds at times it does creep up to -12,-14. If you are looking for warmer places you will have to search closer to the coast. It snows rarely and the sub zeros can are less frequent. I haven't come across a lot of blacks personally neither a lot of Asians. But yes as far as I know there are groups on Facebook which have been created for single people in villages to meet. Never been to one myself though.:)
