Great question @Mav0585.... Are you coming from the perspective of Arbitage rental, month to month periodic tenacy, or in a traditional sense that requires a basic lease? My visceral response to your question looks like this: month to month rentals with no contract other than a plain language act based agreement fare well for more cashflow IMO.

Thanks for being supportive of the channel My friend! Yur 100% spot on about the social environment in downtown... It has DEFINATELY changed alot since the 80's, and crime was high in the quick search that I did. I do have a counter arguement for you to consider. My overall personal experience of DT socially is that it's light years different and quite frankly ahead of the majority of sanctuary cities and liberal social political environments (which we are a pretty die hard in Minnesota in comparison) much further down the rabbit hole than us. My perception is that we have a pretty awesome downtown climate comparatively. Now, that doesnt speak to the bulls*** that youve encountered and that is pretty sucky that you've had such negative consequences for simply trying to support your customers in DT. What industry do you represent? As it relates to real estate is there any way that I can support you and your endeavors? Additionally, Thank you for caring about my accuracy and pointing out the missed details. When I'm back over there I will shoot some content and mention you in the video! Please excuse the delay! There were some fun lessons learned on this video!!! You are 100% I had never been to the food truck park yet and from what I've read since, it was a "covid times" thing. Many restaurants are actually miss recorded in google depending on the words you use in some cases. And, when I was reviewing my footage I had it in there, My guy AJ and I collaborated on this and I will DEFINATELY be updating this video in the near future. You really paid attention to the video, you've got an eye for detail!!! Have any ideas for restaurants I should be referring in the area?

Because there’s some pretty specific and quite strict rules around what licensed professionals can provide for liability reasons (IMO), the info is drawn from actual stats for types or genre’s of crime. Crime rates and the attitudes around them are relegated to a perception. 1 person could think that 2 break ins per year is normal, while the next may think that’s not ok and make it mean that’s not an area for them. @@getitdundad The TCs are dangerous even, in the daytime. I worked there. Security guards offer escorts to employees at certain businesses. Stats mean nothing if the input is skewed. A recent pistol-whipping of a couple during a carjacking, a rash of vicious armed robberies with the chief of MPD describing the events as "horrific." U of M female students being robbed , one having the gun jammed inside her mouth. It is not just crime, it is terrorizing efforts. Many meetings of U of M students and their parents with the U and city officials over the urgent need to lower the violence to students around campus. Open drug use outside the downtown visitor's center was reported in the news. As a professional you may not be able to share info. but a person can research on line from a variety of sources to get a picture of what is really going on. A welfare state is not a safe state. Decent people and businesses are moving out.

Just because you pay the HOA fees, does not mean that the HOA will uphold rules fairly or at all or maintain the common areas or deal with problems in a timely manner. Dealing now with FSR HOA not addressing tenants who allow their dogs to urinate and defecate on the balcony. One of many ongoing problems.

Sounds like to me that you’ve had a pretty rotten experience with HOA’s… I could assist in setting up a custom search and see what we could find in an area that works for you. Maybe getting perspective what your cost would be monthly owning a single family home might shed a different light on things… Would that be of interest?

You unfairly claim that Minneapolis has limited public transit by comparing it to New York and Chicago, two cities that are much, much bigger and denser than Minneapolis. Then you also compare Minneapolis transit to the entire states of Texas and Florida, which makes no sense, comparing a city to a whole state. While Minneapolis doesn't have a ‘subway’ system, we do have one of the fastest expanding light rail and bus rapid transit systems (known as METRO) in the country. This system can definitely get you places in a few minutes. I’m glad you mentioned that our normal bus system is great, but am perplexed why METRO wasn’t mentioned? Also, the Northstar train unfortunately does not go all the way to St. Cloud, you have to transfer to a bus in Big Lake. You also say that driving is required to get around Minneapolis, when in my experience, you can get by just fine with a bike and transit. I am confused why transit is a con here and not a pro. Sure, it's not nyc level, but it's definitely not a con to living here. Regarding the other points in the video, there is no mention of all the bike infrastructure and bike culture at all in the video either. Minneapolis was named the best big city for biking in the country, and that's not said at all? Speaking of culture, what about the Hmong and Somali diasporas in Minneapolis? K-12 public education is good but not great, especially after this last round of budget cuts, you're better off sending your kids to a private or suburban school district instead. The high property taxes are worth it in my opinion, especially for the parks you mentioned and the good city services. Mosquitoes are not a Minneapolis exclusive thing. Traffic, post-covid, is not bad at all. Worst, worst case you get a 15 minute delay in your journey. Also, I like the narrow streets personally, much easier to walk across with kids than a wide street, especially with all the sidewalks everywhere. I appreciate that you are making videos about the pros/cons of living in places, but you have a duty as a content creator to maintain factuality and accuracy in the information you disseminate, especially when talking about the ‘truth’. I remember after the crash all the buzz about big lake becoming a major hub for those commuting for College stuff and the bummer it was for it to stop there. There's a couple new projects that are a bit more reasonable, but it depends on the floor and the offered amenities. If its on the skyway, they do tend to be quite a bit more pricey on the monthly dues. When are you looking to lock down a condo? And is it between San Fran and Minneapolis/saint paul? 7632214009

Greatly disappointed by FirstService Residential's performance as my HOA. Fees paid. Rules not upheld. Common grounds not kept up.

@@getitdundad well, when i suggested my favorites to a woman i worked with from mineapolis, she dismissed them as "blue collar pizza" and she liked luces lol, but for me i would say savoys pizza, in st paul, on white bear avenue, and for sausage pizza, i would say mamas pizza in st paul on rice street. Warning, it may be "blue collar" pizza!
