Hi Michael About the ants , I was like you ants every where untill i scattered some Cinnamon powder on a nest of ants and they all disappeared over night . So I put some on all the ants nests and they to disappeared .

Hi Michael I know just how you feel when you put a garden tool down and lose track of where it is 😅 I get so panicked and then all of a sudden it's right under my nose ha ha. I also this week have had so many distractions that have kept me out of my garden so last night I finally got out there and was out there until it was really dark 😅 I got all my tomatoes pruned, I broke off some stalks that were flowering accidently so I cut a slit in my compost bag and shoved the tomatoe stalk down in there. We'll see what happens, I didn't have the ❤ to just compost it, got so many tomatoe plants this year like your courgettes. I've had a miserable year for squash and pumpkins because there's been no end of squash beetles and bloody cucumber beetles that have spread a fungal disease on my plants. Only have a few now that are hanging on for dear life 😢 Great video, see you on the next one 👋

I pulled all my Charlotte spuds 2 days ago, they were massive as I'd left them a bit too long, but everyone was covered in scab, I had to get them canned up sharpish as they were that bad, inside they were fine, but I've never known spuds get that bad, I couldn't even save any for seed.

Such a shame about the clubroot, if it’s not pests is crap in the soil. The pumpkins seems to be happy with the weather if nothing else. Your corguettes are a lovely size. 😂😂 found it. Waffle away Michael we all understand it’s a fickle world we live in but luckily we have our gardens. Never ending work but you are both doing a fantastic job. Hi Michael I have those same strawberries 🍓 they are alpine strawberries ( I call mine paradise strawberries, as mine came from paradise Michigan) Mine have gone bonkers this year ,spreading runners everywhere, all through the Rhubarb and the blueberry patch 😂 They are a small berry but they pack a punch in taste 😋 Have a great weekend, looking forward to your next video xx 👋

Hi, when I grow potatoes in pots I always use I x 3rd soil, one x 3rd manure and 1 x 3rd straw WITH 4 worms. I get large crops every time. Good luck from NZ.

Lots of rain and lots of clouds . nothing is growing and getting fungus. I feel sorry for people who have only just got there plot this year , I'm still a newby but my first few years was minimum due to clearing and building

Potatoes will indeed be expensive next year. I'm going to put some of my earlies in clamps and lift them to chit come late winter before they start to sprout. Maincrop store better than earlies but ive got to try something because the cost is just too high. Nice potatoes Mike. I've had some average 1st early harvests but its onto my kestrel soon and they have grown great. Have a nice Sunday night Mike. Al

😢 hope you potatoes in the ground are ok, can you top up the ground with grass clippings? Terry puts his pots inside I think or the pots rot in the cold/wet. It’s too hot for the poor bees 🐝 here, we live near huge garden centres and bulb production farms so usually loads of bees but not this year yet. Your skies look bloody awful 🌧️🌧️. You will need to cover your blighted potatoes tops till they get burned as blight spores will still be released as the tops are decomposing or drying out or bag them up till burned

Looking good mate. The Cabbage White Butterflies have started laying their eggs on my Brassicas, so I'm out there daily flicking them off now. They're not getting them this year!🐛

The netting does machine sow very easily Michael, takes time but so does adjusting the two nets.

I turn my fridge on in the hotter days and switch it off during the cooler months, this stops the potatoes chitting until you want to plant them.

Flowers are looking stunning, I have a vining nasturtium that is taking over the fence 😅. I’ve sown some radish today but I’m not sure about that as it’s due to be 33c this week 🥵🥵. I’m so sorry about your friend 😢. He is a genius about stuff isn’t he 👍👍. Oh lord what a shame about the potatoes Jesus it’s been an f’up year. Lots of discussions about bees 🐝 or lack there of, we will all be eating bloody pills soon as nothing will grow or survive. Things look great Mike. Your tomatoes look great. Its been tough up here this year. June was almost a complete write off with the temperatures being 5 to 7 during the day for a couple of weeks. Lovely potatoes there and the beans behind there look nice and strong. Very cool Mike. Al
