Can you explain the brake light better? The left and right turns are on the black/blue wires. The tail is white/gray. I was confused with the brake light
Sorry I did it too long ago to remember 😅
Tysm I just put a stage 1 on my 212 predator and I did some carb nodding got it running it would get up to 25 then start sputtering and thanks to this video I'm pretty sure that means its running rich
Hey Buddy,I have a montana and it runs smooth and shifts smooth because I take care of it.
Typical (nosey) mechanic "up-sell" technique.....dats not how/where ya change da (engine) oil!! No complaints, 'till now. Now look what ya did, now what?! It's all part of da Shop (profit) conspiracy...... Trials & tribulations for those not swinging their own wrench & workin' wit da public! LOL
Awesome setup
Put in a universal joint.
Looks like a Ford driveshaft too
and if you do or don't tell the customer about it he will blame you for causing it when it finally breaks a week later
Looks smart to me!
Soon to be a golf ball launcher
The tire was flat and suddenly it pops up again like inflated
Tools I never knew I needed but now need
Wow, that's unfortunate.
“Step 1. Raise the vehicle.” *proceeds to take the whole front end apart in fast forward with no sound~ 😂 Just giving you 💩 lol, good video
Well damn, that’s gonna be an expensive invoice!
The worst part is that’s the same starter that vw has been using since the 90s in their aba and abf motors
great diagnosis,
How dom are you serieus You meed to remove other stuf to get there smartass you talking About somthing that is been changed 1000.00000.000000000.000000 times
They do that like cad did under the intake manifold to drive up the labor cost 😂
That's gonna take a little bit to get out 😂
OH AND THE NEXT DAY DID A PORSCHE BATTERY UNDER THE DRIVERS SEAT, Came in clutch af there too
bro i just worked on an audi, and when i saw the fasteners, i'm like I'M SO HAPPY I JUST SPENT 140 DOLLARS ON SHALLOW TRIPLE SQUARE SOCKET SET!@#!@#!@
Worth it for handling improvement?
I love simple tutorial like your that are straight to.the point, with all informations needed to succes. And that unveil to the public that it is not that hard to diy after all
Actually this is a litle bit confusing. You see, modern F1 cars run very lean, like AFR is something more than 20:1 which is EXTREMELY lean, and they have good fuel economy, and efficiency, but they don't shoot flames. There exhaust are a little bit red, but again they don't shoot flames. And i thick excess air cooles the engine as well. But excess fuel which can also ignite, can make shoot flames, because there is physicaly more fuel in the chamber. Whith rich AFR which is less than 14.7:1 can lead to additional carbon emisions, more smoke fron exhaust, carbon capturing in the exhaust pipes, ruined spark plugs, VERY low gas mileage and very strong gas smell. But still good video👍🏻 Please correct me if i am wrong someware and add something if need. Thanx😌
I didn't know PVCs can leak oil 🛢?
Yes on wheel of fortune 😂
Pretty Obvious needs fixed !
You're going to have to nip up those bearings pretty soon
Ive seen just as bad only wrapped around the exhaust😂
🤣
Starving/hunting
Great job! Where did you get the sprocket from to match the opener? Having a hard time finding it. -does the opener still reverse if it contacts a 2*4 on the floor? -how to release the door for manual use?
I got it from Peavey Mart, but Princess Auto has as well. Chain has lots of side to side slack on opener, but pitch is correct. It still auto reverses with obstruction. You would need to drill right through sprocket and jackshaft and put a quick pin if you want quick manual use. Otherwise you have to loosen the screws on the sprocket.
@@5boltautomotive595 thank you
Detroit is about the same. Hate it
😂😂
That’s the definition of “you touch, it you total it”
any 5 year old car, it is normal.
Dodge did The same thing whit The promaster
It might be in Ontario, but it definitely came from the East 😅
Pff
What did it end up being I have this exact sound
Connecting rod.
@@5boltautomotive595where’s that located
Is it a hard fix
I don’t get people. Pads and rotors are maybe 200 and they last me almost 100k miles or 7 years. How can one be that cheap?
When I was in South Carolina we would only do resurfacing or replacing the whole set
I changed pad 2 or 3 time for the same disc in Quebec if the disc is still looking good
Pads are cheap. Rotors not so much
This goes for anywhere. 😂😂😂
Several these comments are not correct everyone. I replied to couple for anyone looking for info. A bad rotor is a bad rotor tho yes.
The talk of someone who drives a car with cheap rotors and pays for labor... Many times, the rotor costs 300-500$ each, while good pads cost 20-30$ the whole set. And there is no real problem just installing new pads, if the caliper and piston move like they should. It's only an esthetical thing. You could also resurface the rotor once, but most people don't have access to the tools. So I end up replacing rotors every 2-3 sets of pads, when they are down to their minimum thickness. Another thing: Brake hard!! You avoid rust build up on the contact area if you brake long and hard as often as possible! Remember, pads are cheap, hard braking keeps calipers moving, rotors shining and pads grippy. Don't brake like grandpa... Who I am? Car mechanic and automotive engineer.
Here’s why you shouldn’t pad slap period: Throughout the life of the brake pads, the brakes don’t always wear parallel, Especially when the driver consistently brakes heavily. When installing new pads on used rotors, you can end up with a spongy pedal, or more importantly, decreased braking performance, since the pads aren’t making full contact with the rotor.. that is of course, until the pad wears down enough until it’s making full contact with the rotor. Corrosion on the edges should be taken serious in extreme cases, but a car with unevenly worn brakes can be scary to drive. But I still do it to my beater anyway, to avoid buying new rotors 😆
That's not right everyone. Like really wrong. I literally just said below if brakes aren't wearing evenly. Caliper/slider bolts/or rubber brake line isn't allowing to release.
No this is for real - brakes don’t normally wear evenly, even when everything’s free.
@@deeznutz3494 not true.
Watch any of my brake videos all brake sets are evenly wore. And I even admitted online to the one time in my life I recently put a pad on backwards and the make/model that allowed it and i admitted to it and most wouldnt, i even recorded it to show everyone. Brakes wear evenly unless something is wrong.
While you are partly correct in that the labour costs almost the same if you change the rotors too, there are few points you are not mentioning. First, your pads will not ruin your new rotors because pads do wear so much quicker than rotors, so when they eventually come for new rotors, the pads will be changed as well. Second, you do not open why those new pads are shot. And why this is bad besides the look. The original reason is that the caliper is not moving correctly on the carrier, the pads were stuck or the piston of the caliper is stuck. There is a mechanical problem on those brakes that even a new set of rotors will not fix. So in this situation the brakes need a good cleaning and making sure that all parts move smoothly.
Ya this comment is correct. For the most part anyways...... and I'm not engineer lol. Im pretty advanced tho and just didnt finish my shool/career is all for personal reasons but i still have WAY more dionostic experience than most master mechanics ever would receive, but im also first to say if and when i need to look up something. Just saying I could say stuff bout this 3x longer and be most likly completly right lol. Rotor is f%$#ED here for sure, but correct that caliper isn't sliding WHICH FOR THOSE WHO DONT SEE IT OR KNOW only one pad/side is ate up so caliper is not braking evenly to both pads. Could be as mentioned above, could be piston or slider pins bolts ect, and ALSO just as simple as bad rubber brake line which allows piston to squeeze out but not release CAUSEING LOTS OF HEAT and WEAR TO BRAKES AND PARTS regardless of how much salt is used. And also the comment mentioning expensive rotors are normally just for bigger trucks ect.... not always but normally and this being just 5 lug looking at video, comonly only around 30$ american to as high as 90$ but normally cheaper. Thats cost for parts only. Id have to kno yr make and model tho..... Here in US (I'm in lower mid central) a bad rotor is bad rotor and otherwise no reason to charge for parts that aren't needed. Salt or no salt.
Lol sry I just realized it was next comment saying they were engineer lol. Guess that wasn't directed to u. Lol. Still good answer tho and most ya is right
You two don’t have a clue
@@user-ex5fx5jj7zThen enlighten them.
@@user-ex5fx5jj7z believe what u wanna believe. Rewatch the video. One pad is gone and the other is full. If brakes were working properly "salt or no salt" they would have been wore evenly. When northern vehicles wont pass inspections alot of shady people try to bring them down here and unload them here. Alot of salvage yards ends up with them tho, and ya ive seen yalls salt damage and yalls country arent only place using salt to clear roads. I even have a friend of family that buys all Toyota rusted or not he can and takes them further on down to belieze central America. Then sells or parts them out there. And most of his come from Maine. Yalls winters/conditions bout the same.
Can't you machine/resurface the rotor before slapping in new pads?
Most places don't do that anymore in Canada. Almost same price to get new rotors for the few places that do.
Ya I dont know about Canada.the video isnt right bout salt destroying them tho(editied this rotor), salt might have helped but that's not what destroyed this rotor tho, here tho (lower central usa) for "MOST 5LUG ROTORS" are normally just 30$ish to 90$ish and "turning rotors" can go anywhere from 20$ to 70$ depending on size of vehicle. "Normally" anything with 5lug rotors are just personal vehicles in 1/2 ton weight class and it's better to replace than having them turned (as in machined). Now 3/4 ton vehicles and up rotor cost go up and depending on shape sometimes the cost new vs turned can be better. Just depends on situation
@@hiddenbigfoot salt exposure causes corrosion and rust - the grooves and gouges are caused by these rust deposits breaking free and getting between the rotor and the pad. This is 100% caused by salt. In Canada, we also have safety inspections where the thickness of the rotor is measured against factory spec. If too thin, they need replacing.
@@davewhite16 ugh..... lol look I said the salt helped here. But nope not "in this case" the salt wasn't the problem.
