I am a mixed media artist who loves to share my process-- I try to make art that makes people feel connected and seen. I enjoy creating videos that are helpful, relaxing and inspiring. Through my art I aim to convey messages or a feeling that uplifts and inspires others to be the best version of themselves. We can all be each other's cheerleader--I'm rooting for you!
I always thought being an artist was for other people. As a kid I was always happily surrounded by coloring books, scrap paper, glue and markers--it was instinctual for me to create dioramas, collages and art work by the droves!
It was only after many years (and careers) of trying to fit my round self into a square hole that I realized being an artist wasn't just for others, it was for ME too.
It all started with some adult painting classes--abstract art burst my heart wide open; it brought me back to my artistic self and I haven't looked back since.

I do this with the tags that come off of clothing. I paint both sides to cover the print. I like your use of gluing scraps onto the tags, I will be doing that too.

Hi There, I can't ever see shorts like this, its all lines, does anyone know why and I need an idea for deli in my life! I'm not kidding, I got 1000 sheets at a thrift store for 98 CENTS!!! I'm up for fun!!

Try using a Lazer print instead of an ink jet.
Yes! Laser prints definitely work better for printing that doesn't bleed but I have an inkjet printer. 😁 Just working with what I have.
Oops that looks a little messy. You could try to do the first layer with the leaf stencil already on the stamp for a clearer, neater print. If you want that of course

I was scared of the magenta but it worked. Love it. So your deli paper works in your printer? I have to try that.
It was an exciting moment to add the pink, for sure! I tape the deli paper to copy paper and then run it through the printer. 😄

Do you use a focal point for your art? What do you like to use?
Mostly birds are my focal points. Sometimes leaves, or insects. Though I have used turtles as well.

These are lovely. Cards and postcards are my favorite thing to make. I usually layer gelli pints on top of card blanks to avoid the spill over onto the parts of the card I want white. I am too heavy handed with my paint application.

Where do you obtain different types of papers?
Hi Rhonda! I make most of my collage papers on my gelli plate but I also have some scrapbook papers and collage papers I bought online from Michael's or Temu.

What about just taping in pieces of vellum or another heavy paper? You can use washi tape or clear scotch tape! Just so it right inside at the seam.
