Why is the concert part actually kinda fun to watch. I feel like he is having his best day. I’ve never seen a person play a harmonica with such intensity…
I taped this off HBO back in the day. This was before he starred in movies. People who weren't alive back then don't realize he was the biggest star on TV with the show Moonlighting. He wanted to do something fun to show off his musical chops. However, he's only a mediocre singer.
A GEM that few people can appreciate. Great memories of watching this over and over when HBO had their old-school rotation. This ranks up there with Joe Piscapo's drum solo during his show....yeah I said it! ;p
This was so brilliant! I remember watching it when it first aired. And I had the cassette tape and the vinyl record album. Love you always, Bruce!! 💜🙏🏻💜
Yeah, big fan for years and stuff - but dear other fans- Every time I see it I really don’t get the plot. Should that be funny back in those days ? Help me out
My dad taped this off the telly. I remember watching it over and over again, I would have been 8 or 9. I was a weird kid. I don't remember if I knew it was fake or not. It's such a strange thing, I'm glad it still exists in the world.
I feel like this is what Garth Brooks was trying to do with Chris Gaines, but they did him wrong and cancelled the movie and just released the album with no context lol
(I'm sorry to whomever is reading this, but I scrolled through the comments and couldn't find someone saying this, so I had to.) We........ don't talk about bruno
Bruce Willis had fun making this movie I'm sure!Just got here. Never heard of this film of Bruce Willis, Return of Bruno. Didn't know he did some singing. Seems somewhat Comical protray of a singer and the movie itself..Dick Clark in the movie, Elton John, Ringo Starr,Wolf Man Jack,Clive Davis, etc. It is ashame Bruce Willis stepping away from acting because of Aphasia, he may not be able to communicate again by voice. Die Hard movies Pulp Fiction, 12 Monkeys,on and on!
I do like a lot of this movie. I think the reason it isnt connecting for some people is that it is a mocumentary but the songs aren't overtly satirical or funny really. It's like Willis wanted to make a fun mocumentary but secretly wanted to show people he can sing, hoping it would propel that part of his career perhaps? So half of it kinda falls flat. This probably would have been funnier with an experienced and well known improv actor and at least a few satirical songs.
Anybody who wasn't alive in the 80's and is just watching this now for the first time doesn't realize just how hot Bruce Willis was after 'Moonlighting' hit the air. Everybody wanted a piece of him. Seagram's paid him around $5 million to pitch their wine coolers on TV, film offers were pouring in, he married Demi Moore - and then Die Hard opened in theaters. So it's not surprising that he tried to make a record too. Marginal singer - yes. Which is why there is only about 20 minutes of music in this and they put together a first-class band to back him up. Take it for what it's worth. Saw parts of this when it aired, thanks for posting.
Lamest shit I ever saw.

Michael J Fox just does the best deadpan cameo here. Completely sells it...
I'm on my way to the hospital with severe cringe.

before forest gump....there was bruno.
I love how the videos indicate a change in the times, but the music all sounds like the 80s
yep but to be true , they are basically old tunes just made in more modern synth sound, so its mix
Trenton’s Tunnel Club is funny
He has no memory of this what so ever.

I could go to any dive bar karaoke night and see this crap.
Wow Bruce actually played Jimmy Zs famous riff at 48:00
3:31 JBJ❤️🦁
2:31 Ringo Starr
I recorded this off HBO on VHS videotape. Watched it 100 times, loved it. "Bruno's Corvettes, Corvettes, Corvettes---trust me." Thanks, Bruce.

Bruno's music gets right into your Soul 🎶💕 #LoveBruce
I remember seeing this when it came out on HBO. Jackpot still my all time favorite. Love you Bruno!
How do I find the harmonica bending at the beginning of the video?
Bruce should revive Bruno for a feature film. That would be fun. Throw some autotune in as a joke.
I Love the Idea Of BRUNO
Justin never ceases to impress me with his archaic knowledge.
AMAZING TO FIND THIS. WATCHED IT 100'S OF TIMES WHEN I WAS A KID. YES I REALISE I AM TYPING IN CAPS. I AM EXCITED. FUNTIME!!!!!
Ironic satire done before ironic satire was really a thing. Great flick. Has that malevolent late 80s sleaze dripping from every frame
Aww jesus that armonica XD
I cannot believe I found this. Thank you for uploading!

So many Stars in only 56 Minutes.

He was a great singer. I listened to the two Bruno albums endlessly when they came out. He had a tremendously infectious energy.
So amazing to see this again after all these years. I even bought the album way back when. Happy memories!
I can’t imagine if Bruno returned now, Sheesh, wish I had some of that 1987 Bruce Willis snow lol (jk :D
I have this on vhs it’s hilarious I haven’t seen it for 30 years
Why I hate this album podcast brought me here
