I bought the 65DS and having trouble getting it to cut at all. it blows a hole than cuts off. I'm using it on 110V. only goes to 45 Amp on 110. cutting 1/8 plain steel.
@@drbooo so either your tips gone bad (the inner two not the outer) or you don't have enough air pressure. Or last but not least you are getting a very poor ground. I can make a trouble shooting video here in a bit

I was welding galvanized last night. Robots are terrible welders. Have to hold their robotic hands and go back over every dang thing.

Every welder I've worked on from miller 220s and lower all have 14ga plug wire 😅 only ones I seen with 8/3 was 252s or bigger industrial machines but for dyi machines they all have a 14ga

Dude I used to work with some old time welders at a small boatyard and even during the hot summer they would always drink like ten or more hot cups of coffee the whole day while working
@@Jeremiah-rd2io I worked with an old man like that once, would have his leather welding jacket and cap on. Then proceed to destroy a pot of coffee by 7 am lol and not even sweat! They were built different for sure

@@taku3702 the video is geared more towards "things you would need in a welding shop" I apologize for my misworded title. I also ordered all of this from Temu directly so technically it's all Temu lol. I've noticed Amazon has a ton of the same stuff so I stopped bothering with it anymore

When you were cutting, were you hooked up to home 50 amp or were you on a 30 amp generator? I couldn't tell if the sound was maybe a generator or just the fan of the cutter.

@@whattheweld9396 That would be cool. I just got one of these guys and I haven't tested it yet. All I have is a 30 amp dryer outlet or my 30 amp generator outlet. Nice video man.

No problems! It's actually the stock mufflers that came on the motorcycle, I modified them myself to take the baffles out. I can go into further detail in a video if you really wanted

That's actually a trick of the camera haha, I definitely tightened it down but it sounds loose! It is the cheapest angle grinder on Temu so there's that as well.

Not officially I don't, unofficially it might? I wouldn't recommend this for cnc work due to its duty cycle. But if it's smaller work it may do it.
FYI the ground clamp is actually the positive and torches are negative.

On my 55ds the buttons are what adjust the air pressure

How would the tig on this do for welding in body panels?
I haven't tried the tig on body panels, but I did redo a few cab corners and door skins with the Mig, I will say the tig on this machine DOES NOT have gas control. Which means the argon line runs straight from the cylinder into your tig torch, which can be an issue if you are looking to just do tac welds on body panels. Just a heads up! Would it do it? Absolutely! Would it be easier than just using the Mig on a lower setting? Probably not :) thanks for the comment!

Welder
I bought this maybe two years ago. Don’t buy the Chicago Electric welders. They are AC only. They’re terrible. While I don’t use this for anything big, I bought it as my shops are on two different floors and my welding is done upstairs. Since the ESAB is a 50 pound machine connected to two gas bottles, bringing it downstairs and up again is a real pain. So I bought this for small work mostly small repairs and mods of things such as welding extra height onto the bottom of my compressor to get to the freaking valve. Also as parts I make on my mill sometimes need to be welded together with precision fitting. So I tack it with this and then bring it upstairs to weld. Sorry this is so long, but this welder is just fine for what it’s intended for. One guy recently did a video of this and the title was “Don’t buy this welder”. Idiot! Good luck with the channel. I subbed and hope to see future videos. If they’re as thoughtful as this one, they should be pretty interesting.

I picked this one up a few days ago I've only used it a few times and I love it. My old Chicago welder finally took a crap the old blue one ive had for many many years
