I need to make a comment or 2 about this video. I have just watched other videos of this same song and this video has the non necessary ending. What do I mean by non necessary? The director in this video was absolutely wrong to make the soprano section hold out the last amen word like that. In the other videos, one had no section doing it by themselves on the amen word. In another video, it was sopranos and tenors and all the other sections- the tenors did the last amen word by themselves at the end and yes the sopranos were there taking a break while the tenors held out the note. In another video it was all men singing this song and once again it was the tenors doing the last amen note longer. But here this director did the ending wrong and had the sopranos do the last amen by themselves and that was wrong and it wasn’t necessary and very disrespectful to the sopranos. He needs a lesson about conducting this song. He was wrong torturing the sopranos like this. This is not how the song is written and anyone who says otherwise doesn’t know what they are talking about.
