@flokami3418 I'm glad I inspired you to begin your Wambugu Apple journey. That's really the main aim of this channel 👌. Nitangojea ushuhuda 😁 and best of luck as you start your journey.
Wow,umefanya hadi ni kaweka order yangu ya Apples trees pale kwa Wambugu😊 i hope zitafanya poa Nakuru 🙏
@flokami3418 they will. I'm in Nakuru, too. So, yours should be able to do well. Thank you for being part of this community.
Hi, At what height from the ground/ base of the stem did you first tip your apple trees? Thank you.

This is lovely. Have they started flowering?
@jaycee9406 thank you 😊 One flowered on month 9, but the flowers aborted. Check the video on the Wambugu Apples Trees at month 9 for more details on that. Also, stay updated for next weekend's, on the 8th of December's update as they turn 1 year.
They shall fruit... keep updating us
@@marshaasiya5278 they will. Thank you very much.
U need to defoliate them or wait for it to give new leaves
@@IpMixedfarm are you referring to the tree that isn't doing so well?
They should have fruited . What happened
@hellengoretti1620 The flowers aborted. As explained in the video. I'm still monitoring, though. Must have been the heavy pruning that I did.
Your trees don't need pruning, they are not bushy
@dellah256 Right now they don't. I pruned them a while back.
@@ThriftGardening I hope you mean tipping so that they be bushy. Mine are doing well in UGANDA, we are soon pruning the heads for the last time and allow them flower
@dellah256 I initially pruned them back because they were single stemmed and so long. But now that they're at a height I prefer, I only tip them whenever necessary
Hi.have 4 plats but 1 dint survive its leaves turned brown. The ones that servived have not produced any branches..what can be the problem

Where did you buy the apples seedlings from
@@sweetbirthy2008 hi there. From the Wambugu themselves. They are the only ones who sell them. +254 722 284176 is their number

Good job
@@francismaina9873 Thank you
Great
Heard about Wambugu from a friend in South Africa. How do I get at least 1....in Zimbabwe?
@tmnkomo9403 I'm not the seller, but I can link you up with the seller. I think the minimum you can purchase outside Kenya is 50 seedlings.
@@ThriftGardening please link me
@@ThriftGardening and you can tell me how special Wambugu is, my friend raved about a Wambugu project in SA
@@tmnkomo9403 it's the fact that for many years, apple trees could only grow in chill areas. But this variety can grow in any climatic condition in Africa. And almost everyone can grow it and make money out of it

@agro-valleyfarm7217 I've checked it out. If you watch my previous videos, you'll notice that they were tall and slender. I pruned them back and they've now started branching out.
Where can I get seeds for the indeterminate variety?
@@teresiawanja7219 you should find them at your local agrovet. I use the "Maxim F1" Hybrid tomato from Continental Seeds
You are doing it the best way that should be done. Limit branches too,

Good job br, waiting to see the fruit
@@emetomkura2500 Thank you
What is the cure
@awakenwithissahm Remove infected leaves as soon as you see them. You can also use copper based inorganic fungicides to cure and prevent further spread. I personally don't, since I keep it organic.

Mine are 1 year 8 months and no fruiting yet. All blame to me for telephone farming. Ive lost 6 out of 11 and i had to do it myself. They are doing so well. Looking foward for flowering
@@Minister-Delina. that's unfortunate. But I'm glad they are doing well now. Where in Kenya have you planted them?
@@ThriftGardening im past kajiado towards namanga doing really well.
@@Minister-Delina.I'm glad to hear that they are doing well. This one's should begin flowering from August ideally. Keep me posted on the progress of your apple trees. Stay tuned
@ThriftGardening i will. I cant tell when mine will be fruiting. Ill keep you posted
@Minister-Delina. Looking forward to that.
Good job so encouraging 👍
Thank you
Beautiful chicken!! I'm not sure this is best for your pretty poultry. Chickens need to scratch. It's instinct and is also used as social cues, and helps trim their nails.
Yes. I agree. We have designated places they can do that. Just not on the lawn 😄
You should clip upward branches befor five feet! You dont want them to get fifteen feet tall. Clip your upward branches at an outward leaf or branch and spread them out! You dont want your tree to blow over five years from now! Spread your manure out to two meters tto pull the roots out to feed! Keep a good deep mulch to keep the grass from eating your trees food!! You need to prune your trees twice a year for three or four years while you develop their form! You need to do all of your formative work with your clippers before you have to use a pruning saw! Learn to thin your fruit! Protect the fruit and leaves from insects and birds because they will COME! Good luck with your little orchard!!
Thank you
Beautiful .. I’m yet to master growing Vegies .. share tips pls 🙏🙏
What do you want to know?
Wow,very nice
Thank you very much 😊
Tip them please, cut the top to start new growth it is much better
I just did once they reached 5 feet
Looking forward to seeing more detailed results from the tipping experiments. Please give feedback on the netting as well. It seems insects are still able to reach the plants with this net
Stay tuned 😊 I installed it quickly yesterday after i had bought it because it was getting dark. I just didn't tuck it in well. It shouldn't once I've tightly tucked it in properly. I'll keep you updated.
Had no idea tomatoes can be this long
They do. The tallest ones are currently at around 8-9 feet tall. And still growing...
@@ThriftGardening continue inspiring us
Very interesting. That is how we grew tomatoes in a green house. Up a string and you get them to produce as they go up.
That's right! With the indeterminate type, they tend to produce for months. Also, utilising the vertical spaces is ideal for small spaces and greenhouses. It makes it easier to manage your tomatoes and allows air flow preventing diseases.
The tomatoes look great! Hope they turn out tasty.
Thank you 😊 They are actually tasty and cook fast. I could send you some. You follow the channel?
