You should still be able to apply for an E-2 visa as your green card category is not even close to being current.

I am an Norwegian who will travel USA with a motorhome in 2025/2026. Starting in february 2025 with 90 days, than 90 -100 days at home and so 90 days in USA. 2026 90 days in the spring. GC holder here. I started with TN visa and is very difficult to get the sponsorship by your current employer. I was lucky to have my wife (also on TN) employer sponsor both of us.

The summons is issued very quickly by the court - within a day or so.

If my offer letter states that it's an initial employment and gives a duration that is less than one year, will it affect the approval of the H1B visa or make the visa less than the usual initial 3 years? Hi thanks . one quick question, in 2023 if someone stayed for 71 days in one entry Aug - Oct and in 2024 next entry in usa statyin for 120 days . may -sept . Totalling around 191 days (but if Aug 2023 - Aug 2024, as one full year is considered then its less than 180 days ) . can person stay visit and explore usa ? or will it be counted as 191 days , by adding previous two yrs. or separate as 180 days per entry. ?

Does owning a rental property in the US and hiring a property manager considered a business and has a chance to qualify?

I went through TN and got my green card a few months ago. You need to time everything and not travel for some period of time, so there is some risk specially with a layoff. Also you won't be able to extend your TN so ideally start the PERM process early but also not too early 😄

How did you do it may I ask? Did your workplace eventually sponsor you?
I'm Canadian, my employer did the whole thing for me, it took me in total just under 2 years between when I my employer filed for the PERM until I received my Green Card. It was tight because I received my green card just 2 months before the expiration of my TN.
