It’s been a few years since I sold it now, but it was pretty good to drive. Sluggish off boost due to the limited timing, but really fun when spooled.

IIRC it was p/n 2241 from cbperformance.com. I cant remember.

Had to seal the throttle shaft, modify the emulsion tube and extend the fuel bowl vent. Not difficult at all, and cost almost nothing. limited to about12-15 psi of boost, 7-8psi if you are still running a stock distributor. Mine was as simple as could be but was limited to 8 psi for safety.

Start with what you have. The turbo stuff ran me less than $1k for everything and it was a great experience. Much fun, 5/5, Would boost again.

I used a limited 009 distributor, stock PICT34 carb (modified for boost) stock fuel pump (modded to receive boost signal, and an intercooler from a 1.9 TDI. I made all the exhaust piping myself. go to shoptalkforums.com and do some reading. lots of good information and very helpful members. there are too many parts to list here and I cant remember them all.

How do you modified the carb for boost?

On the simple little solex it was just a matter of enlarging the float bowl reference tube, soldering some of the emulsion tube holes shut, larger main jet, and sealing the throttle shaft with o-rings. Simple mods. and cheap. If I were to build another I'd use the same carb, just with two instead of one.
