Hell’s Kitchen Democrats was established in 2017 to create an open, diverse and inclusive Democratic political club in New York City. We provide a resource to stay informed and become politically empowered; promote progressive policies and principles at the local, state and federal levels of government; support and elect Democratic candidates to public and party office who demonstrate ability, integrity and a commitment to public service; build enrollment and encourage participation in the work of the Democratic Party; and further the interest and participation in civic matters to improve the quality of life in the neighborhood, city, state, and country.

At our October 3, 2024 meeting we were fortunate to have NYC City Council members Erik Bottcher and Gale Brewer in attendance to discuss the statewide Proposition 1: ERA proposed amendment to the State Constitution, and the citywide propositions 2-6 that will all be on the back of the November ballot.

At this Membership Meeting, State Senator Brad Hoylman-Sigal spoke about the importance of passing ERA Legislation, Proposition 1, which can be found on the back of the ballot. We also reviewed important volunteering opportunities to support our Democratic candidates in the upcoming crucial election, addressing the importance of winning back the majority in the House of Representatives.
