Love the "well technically" energy in this skit. But yeah, she is 100% correct and i have made this same rant to people on my life. Vegetable is just a vague culinary term based on a combinaion of taste and feel more than clearly defined traits. While fruit is a term that has both an actual scientific meaning, but is also used culinarily to refer to plant material that fits a certain taste profile. Side rant, mushrooms are also classed as "vegetable" in the culinary world. Fungi arent even plants at all! That branch separated itself from the rest of life on earth as early as it possibly could have and the nearest relation any creatures can have to it is back when everything was a single cell organism. But hey, it's savory so it's a vegetable to chefs!

A lot to unpack here. 1) God has no gender. He is not the sort of being that has gender. We use male pronouns for Him because that is how He chose to reveal Himself. Why would we not respect the pronouns God chose? 2) It is unlikely that God was assigned male pronouns due to gender bias because despite ancient near eastern cultures being quite patriarchal, there were many goddesses that had very large followings. The culture did not seem to prioritize one gender over the other when it came to deities.

Bones after a certain depth actually disolve in water over time. The high pressure makes the water more acidic devolving the bones slowly over time. That's why for example the victims of the Titanic only the shoes have remained. Also there are many bone esting microbes and animals. Beach sand is definitely not ground bones... if it contained any ground bones is substantial quantities it would stink to high heaven..And their are many animals en bacteria, etc. that would eat it anyway.

My only problem with this is that PEOPLE assign meaning to words not some weird higher dictionary authority, so if we just need to define vegetable. Which is…. “a plant or part of a plant used as food, such as a cabbage, potato, carrot, or bean” so like everyone named a vegetable and also everything plant that we eat is considered a veggie by the definition we agreed on. Technically fruits are vegetables.

I have died on this hill so very many times. Tomato is a fruit and it is also a vegetable. It’s both. Scientifically, it’s a fruit, but it is used as a vegetable and therefore it also is a vegetable. Something being a fruit does not preclude it from also being a vegetable! I will go to war with every person who has ever corrected someone for calling a tomato a vegetable. Congrats! You know that a tomato is a fruit, but you have no goddamn clue what “vegetable” even means.
