How do you run timesheets for staff on servicem8 to send to the accountant for payroll?
Their software will make this a seller. 👍
Thats a very compact solar panel
I noticed you had an Eddi set up also. Is that ok to be part of the “house” consumer unit or does that need to be in the separate Zappi consumer unit. I noticed the Eddi wasn’t in that Zappi consumer unit hence the question. Thanks!
Is there an actual video about the repair or how this works?
Hi there, my alarm keeps showing unable to set wireless poll fail after changing all of the battery including bell box and indoor sensors. In this case is that mean I need to remove the program and set the program again? But I dont find any option about control device in the panel. I can set the date and time, edit users or review log something like that, but nothing about the device, please advise what to do. Thank you so much.
You know what? I am a regular viewer of your TH-cam Channel. I have seen all your videos and your content qualities are very good. I learned lots of things from you. Your channel has great quality contents but still it is not delivering its right audiences due to SEO problems. You should focus on your SEO so that You can get a big fanbase. Thanks.
I have the same Alarm panel in our new house, followed your steps but mine will not come up WI FI Set up ????????????? any ideas,( I rang the company that installed it and its not on contract, they want £85 plus vat to come out.)
Nothing against this man and his company, but never use a Solis inverter worst product on the market, I know this as I deliver the returns to the company every single day for the past 7 years as the quality of them Solis inverters are shite
Brilliant mate. Tamper for PIR Iin lounge kept triggering. Removed PIR (not needed anymore) as per your instructions and all great!
My transformer in the fuse box is 8v, is that to low? An how much would installing a new transformer cost? An would it be safe for me run it off a 8v for now, even if say the camera doesn't work and then updating it some time in the future.
Really good video very easy to follow to get my fob paired thank you
Great video Just wondering how do u do your wind calcs? I cant find out if open solar does that Thanks
Hey Ben, Great video. Really helpful. Currently using SimPro but looking to move over to service m8. - Haven't signed up yet if you want the $$$ Have you set this up all yourself or did you get a consultant to help out at the beginning? Also keen to hear more about the proposal side for some of our projects.
Hands down the best video I've watched on YT for my use case albeit I've hard wired my transformer and whacked it in a DIN enclosure.
Great video. I’ve just come out my trial and did t even use it as I was away 🤦🏻♂️ need to give it a go.
Hi, is there a way I can set only the downstairs front and back door but not the rest of the internal house for nighttime? To allow us to walk freely through the house in the middle of the night without the alarm going off. Thanks.
Which Honeywell doorbell chime do you usually use please?
It looks like a Honeywell Ding Dong jobbie mate.
Great Video Ben! Hopefully you find some time to some do more videos like this.
Apple fsan boys
Do you sell these ?
What happens if you don’t have a battery collecting solar and it just goes back to grid?
How much does it cost ?
Same as DavePawson - my menu options do not show "wifi settings". How do i therefore reset the wifi password?
Is there a way of disabling or turning down the loud countdown noise when setting the alarm
I have to just point out that every home and use is completely different to say your use. All I can add is I advise homes to opt for 8kw systems if your DNO will allow it. I say this as winter and not many sunny clear days we have. you will want to consider poor light. The more pannels you have the more you will get back out in the darker months. More pannels the more output in winter or not so nice days which we get a lot of.
If we connect 3 batteries like you did. How the charging power is distributed between. Which one will charge first and which one will discharge first?
Thats inverter I have installed 8Kw.
Can we run Solis S6 pro inverter without battery?
Thank you very much, but I didn't quite get the name of the software
Open solar
Shit clips
I’m hoping you can help. I kept getting siren wirls supervn f1 message. I deleted the bell from the alarm but it’s not learning it now. Is there a button inside the siren to press? If not, how much have I ballsed it up? Thanks
I had changed the batteries and there was no signal between the box and the siren
Hi Im in Australia. I have 13kw solar on a sungrow grid tie inverter. Can I ac couple this inverter to the grid tie and also connect batteries? Thanks
what chime is that?
It looks like a Honeywell Ding Dong jobbie mate.

you need the engineers code to reset
How can i restore the system?
impressive email template list,,any chance of sharing it?
Hi Ben, I am a new subscriber, I worked for two years as a solar panel technician in Portugal, I did hundreds of installations (On-Grid only) And I would like to work in that field here As well, and learn more about battery installations, in case your company is recruiting. Cheers
I've just installed a gse in roof tray system. U don't need to cut the lats, the tray fits over the top of them. Only thing I found a bit of a pain was that none of the fixing holes lined up with the existing lats so had to have a lot more lats to the roof. The system u are installing looks really tidy though 👍
GSE is a decent system but it can be a mess around. I never quite trust the load of the panels being borne by screws into 25mm lats
This is a very important topic for householders. We readily speak about the expected life of the panels and their efficiency over 25 years often with little consideration for the weathertight performance of the roof. Please do a follow up and review whilst the works progress. Possibly, cover wind loading design and the number of fixings into the timber battens. Most installers are used to relying on a rail and joist fixing. Clear and concise information, thank you.
Thanks! We instaled this one ready for the roofers. Next vesit will be to install the Alpha ESS system. I'll do a follow up
How do I turn off an alarm
put your user code in
I’ve setup the decides and added them and added input type but they won’t trigger the alarm when I walk past them to test them?
if you are using wireless devices then you need to give them time to settle after they have seen you.
Will this work in an Android phone?
yes
How do you have your quote settings setup? Is it price per Watt or an overall markup? I am finding it tricky to predict labour costs.
We set the system at price per KW and battery to price per kWh. Weve moved on from this a bit now and use a separate pricing spreadsheet and just add the manual total into Open Solar.
Mine doesn't have half these options and it's driving me crazy. I also have a recurring comm panel fault that triggers the alarm every other day and can't find any solutions online..any ideas?
Older system might not have some options.
Can you set 2 areas at the same time
Yes and no. You can change the system to level set instead of area, then set them both. this is good for a communial area and multiple locked areas. Or you can create an additional area that incorporates the 2 you want to set. A = downstairs B = Upstairs C= all
I have a battery failure in one of the PIRs. My annual service is due in a couple of months so I dont want them out to visit yet. Can I omitt that PIR and then Re-enable it ( with the error message/beep ) the day before they come to do the service??
No, if you omit the device and the battery dies you may still get a supervision error. Just delete the device and ask teh engineer to re-add it again
That's cool, thanks for sharing
Sometimes the notepad is the easiest to follow!
Wow…we are having the same issue with battery drain when using the Zappi on Octopus intelli Go ….i have had to turn the smart charging off to stop battery drain , then use the off peak times of 6hrs…thanks for the info on separate feeds and CT clamps ..will look to get mine looked at ..
It can be tricky with intelligent go as the zappi can come on at anytime. On standard go you just set the inverter to charge during the whole of the cheap period.
@@ElectricalInnovations thanks …i have set the car to only charge during off peak from 23.30 to 5.30…no probs since
@@ElectricalInnovationsthanks for the highly informative video. I am currently suffering from the same issue, that Octopus Intelligent Go is enabling my car to charge at random times outside of my normal off-peak window. This has had the annoying effect of fully discharging the battery, leaving the battery fully discharged during peak hours. I use an Ohme charger, which I used to have setup to only charge overnight- but a recent app update has now forced “Dynamic Charging” to be switched on. Will the solution shown in your video solve my problem or is there something else I need to consider? Cheers, Dom
