On this channel, I research homebrew games from all over the internet and play them for your viewing pleasure. I am not a creator of games. When I do make one, I'll clearly state that in the video title and description. I also play mainstream games on here. Anyway, I'm a dad of 2, who loves playing video games of all eras (from the Atari 2600 age to the XBox/Playstation age of today). I'll focus on several gaming genres using a multitude of consoles from my home arcade.
Beam Escape (Atari 2600 homebrew)
I did not make this game. I have no idea what I'm doing, but I like the idea.

I did not make this game. What a great addition to a non-existent top down 7800 racer line-up. This was much needed. Kind of reminds me of RC Pro Am in terms of mechanics. Fun game!

Totally bypassed this one, but it's fun. You're not seeing my best performance on this, but I figured I'd show ypu anyway.

I did not make this game, but I do like it. It has kind of a Bubble Bobble feel to it when you're jumping up and down the screen.

Agreed!
Great gane!
Download?
I think I got it from Atarigamer.com a while ago. I don't know if it's still up there.
Pick up the blocks and raise them up to fix the shield! You can drop the blocks on the "squids" to kill them I did write that game :)
And it's one of my favourites! Are you planning to sell as a cartridge?
What is this game worth now? I had a cousin steal it from me 40 years ago
It's not crazy. I bought a copy from eBay for under 20$. It plays well on the 2600+.
Physics seem pretty good not too much sliding around
Yeah. It's really good and winning is dependent on how well you maneuver the vehicle.
This looks like so much fun to develop for intellivision.
thanks for playing the game😊
No problem!
che vale la pena ? yo lo jugaba en la pc hace 15 años el original , pero este como bunean los vampiros en mando ?
I'd say it's decent, but it isn't something I play all the time. Good to buy if there's a deal on it.
outlander hack
Next to an emulator, the Atari 8-bit / 5200 version was the best!
Pretty amazing. I sure wish I had all the tools, tech and resources people have today, back then. Amazing "port" (really calling it a port is underselling what's there.)
I agree with you.
Wow.. I just ordered the Atari 2600 version of this.. this is one I'll have to look into once I obtain a 7800.
Honestly looks like batariBasic, still cool
This is a remake of "Frankenstein"...Awesome
Very cool!!!
Awesome. Interesting game.
Dr. Typo did a fantastic Job. Voxels and height maps are right in the Jaguar's power zone.
More efforts like this with a bit more polish and the Jaguar would have done well. Shame it took so long. It certainly has potential.
Totally agree!
Ill say it. This is the most impressive Mk1 has looked on a handheld
Nice. Neat game!
Frogger!
I clicked on this game for the blood and I wasn’t disappointed.
I hear ya!
This is not the way it meant to be played ... Why do you move so fast and permanently ? Why don't you use the jump ?? And the Super Zapper ???
I do use the super zapper in the game. I might have used it less in this video, but I promise you, I do use it. And for jumping, I use it sparingly. I'm not a fan of that feature. I enjoy the way I move around. It's worked for me ever since I got the original for my actual Atari Jaguar.
now got the idea.
0:16 "Hey you wanna press start on contro- nah, I'm out" xD
In two player mode, this is a good game.
I'd have preferred a port of the GX4000 version, as the C64 version is missing content, the colours are wrong, and the flick-screen separating each stage into two sections is annoying.
Good stuff for the Jaguar.
Needs a Pokey or Yamaha sound track. Otherwise, an excellent port.
I believe it's using a Pokey.
This could be the Jaguar's Starfox if the developer made more effort to expand the scope of the game. It's cool, and I love the BigPEmu-powered VR option, but it gets old very quickly.
this is way better rather then the other atari donkey kong because of the other atari 2600 donkey kong it has 2 levels instead of 4 but this game is way better so I cannot wait to try this!
I own an Atari 2600 and 7800 currently. I used to own a 5200 as well as a NES. The Genesis I own really has great games. When you compare all the systems as well as the SNES I'm amazed how much better games played on an Atari console just the game library wasn't there.
😢 it doesn't work for javatari
I agree. The game is definitely crazy and frenetic. I enjoy it, but I can see how some people would prefer something else.
Dude this game rocks. Thanks for covering it.
No problem! My pleasure!
I wonder if this would run on real hardware? I didn't know the Lynx was such a beast!
That, I'm not sure of, but I do own a Lynx, and it's an incredible system. I think it could handle this game easily.
I cant find it on the playstore
I bought it quite a while ago. It might not be there anymore.
Greetings Folks, I see it on the store but it depends probably on the regions in the world. Maybe not available everywhere anytime. Probably like Steam's store. Hope this helps.
If ATARI were smarter, they would have added the ability to hook the LYNX up to a TV. It was one of the most powerful 16-bit systems on the market. Unlike those consoles, the Lynx could handle sprite-scaling in hardware. ATARI should have consolised the LYNX hardware.
Yep, but management at Atari was terrible and hampered the Lynx from reaching its full potential.
Were can I buy this game?
Good question. I would imagine the developer would release this on AtariAge eventually.
It's still very much in development. Don't know yet if it'll be sold, or uploaded as a ROM for free
Is this da final Version? Looks cool, but Not ready to fly! GREETZ 🤖👍 Atari 7800 F O R E V E R ♥️
Not sure if it is, but pretty impressive so far.
Not sure how long it's been in development. But this is far from the final version. Rest assured, they game is in active development.
John Hancock and I collaborated on Retro Game Quest. We brainstorm for neat ideas then I make the game (getting feedback along the way). Thank you for showcasing the game!
You are most welcome!
Is this some kind of primitive Bomber Man of the NES?
I agree with ya. It's something like that.
Was one of the first builds i released and it got a full revamp looking much closer to the TG16 port. However i abandoned the project once some issues about porting games swept through the forums.
Sounds like the Atari VCS version
Agreed.
I liked it up until the seizure.
My Psychiatrist: Donkey Kong Skeleton isn't real, Donkey Kong Skeleton cannot hurt you. 0:48 Donkey Kong Skeleton: ☠️
everyone talking about how much better this looks than the Coleco port onto Atari 2600...but nobody talking about how the hammers don't work at all. I mean, I guess they're just decorative sprites? why else do none of these playthroughs demonstrate use of the hammer!? Lame.
It's taken over eleven years of development to get here at this point and counting, but it's coming along. It's amazing what you can do with enough time and determination, because this is very impressive indeed to see a stock Genesis do.
is this really a lynx game, looks far too good.
Yep. You can get the rom from here - atarigamer.com/lynx/play/MortalKombatSV2k19Version/850540296?r=0 There's an even more updated one out now, than this one.
Looks good! Astro Smash was one of my favorites, played it a lot since I was kinda behind and only had the Intellivision, a couple games I picked up from a thrift store and a B&W TV, all while others had the NES/SNES or the Master System/Genesis. Wish I still had the cart.
