Strut Spacers on a Drift Car, Made Out Of Garbage. (Mazda Miata)
In this video, I make strut spacers for the Skid Rose Racing Miata.
Low is typically the way to go, but the Miata needs a slight boost to properly clear the current wheel and tire setup on the track. Luckily there's plenty of scrap material on hand at Skid Rose Racing HQ to solve the problem!

Hey man I’m only 24 but have been welding and fabbing and forging for years now. Next time, don’t but the extra weld all the way around. You want enough weld to fill your joint and that’s it, and let it cool slowly. When you welded aroundthe whole tie rod mount, you’re putting a lot of unnecessary heat into the steel and pulling lots of carbon out of it, making it weaker and more brittle! More is not always more with welding, there’s a balance of getting it hot enough and too hot for too long. I would make a new set and install them when you get the chance because that’s quite a bit of extra heat you put into that. Part of my job is stress testing new designs and heat failure, I am just trying to look out for y’all’s safety!

The 2.8 V6 is a GM engine using readily available GM parts & accessories. AKA Chevy S10. This engine was used in many GM vehicles, & even jeeps, All using Standard over the counter GM accessories, TBI & ECU... Try to get ANY 4cyl Isuzu parts at your local Auto Zone or Napa. Mine has 191000 miles and still runs Quiet, smooth & Revs happily to 5500. Power Tip, Rod out the Cat & add Cat Back free flow exhaust. Then a high flow air filter & it will spin 31x 10.50 - 15's .( my clutch dampner is weak, so chirping those big tires on asphault is easy) Or, When that 2.8 is worn out, Stroke it to a 3.1 or 3.2 with over the counter GM parts.. I have a 1991 Trooper that always needs stuff done to it. I'm not really a mechanic, but I do it all myself anyway. That said, it's great to watch someone do things I need to do. Thanks for the training video!

Worst part about wheel locks is that they usually come with oem wheels and who is stealing an oem wheels? And honestly the worst thing about wheel vandalism is that if you have fancy valve stems the tweakers and kids will steal your valve caps and even if you don’t have fancy stems and caps they steal them anyway for their Walmart bicycles.

Great points. Wheel locks cause more problems than they ever solve. Most of them are really easy to remove with the right tools anyways.

Dawg so i was doing some research apparently some oem’s like Honda started charging insane prices for their rims (like 3k) so people steal them to sell to people who need replacements. What the hell

That's crazy! Sounds like they're expensive "just because" since they're not radically different from anything else. I guess it kind of makes sense why it's rare to see newer used Honda wheels
