The number one issue in the USA is always the economy. If the economy is working, then the Party - President in Power are more likely to win. If not, they are more likely to be defeated. Bill Clinton and his famous campaign slogan, “it’s the economy stupid!!!, is one of the best examples. Clinton beat Bush Senior, who (having done everything legally, managed to get Iraq out of Kuwait,) was riding high in the polls. Nevertheless he lost to Clinton because of the economy and his so called “trickle down economics “ i.e. allow the rich to create wealth and that wealth will (somehow) trickle down to the “lower classes”.

To my humble opinion economy and immigration played THE key role for D.Trump's victory and for his triumphant victory the denial of dementia - President to step down and give her the chance to run the Office for some time.. Tough luck!
