WARNING FELLOW BELIEVERS WHO MAY BE WATCHING THIS Joel Osteen's teachings may sounds nice, and some things he says may be true, but he doesn't talk about certain biblical truths of Scripture, he also supports the prosperity "gospel", which is fake and evil. He mentions sin and repentance at the end of his sermons, but doesn't talk about it otherwise, he constantly promotes prosperity and doesn't preach the whole Gospel. He doesn't talk about God's wrath or judgement on sin, this is an incomplete, watered down, fake gospel. And it is done on purpose, I know he may seem Christian, and quote the bible, but we need to seek God not so that we can "have a better more prosperous life", but because WE ARE SINNERS!! SIN IS ANYTHING THAT NOT IN CONFORMITY WITH GOD'S WILL! WE BROKE GOD'S LAW, WE DESERVE JUDGEMENT AND TORMENT IN THE LAKE OF FIRE FOR ALL ETERNITY! THE ONLY WAY OUT OF THAT IS CONFESSING AND TURNING AWAY FROM OUR SINS TO GOD, ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR, AND FOLLOWING HIM WITH THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO DO HIS WILL, NOT OURS! IT WILL INVOLVE HARDSHIPS, PERSECUTIONS, AND PAIN, BUT IF GOD IS WITH YOU, YOU WILL HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR! Don't be deceived by Osteen's appearance of being a Christian, Jesus said "Beware of false prophets who come to you in SHEEP'S CLOTHING, BUT INWARDLY THEY ARE RAVENING WOLVES, Ye shall know them by their fruits". Don't buy his teaching, read and study the Bible, find the truth their and use it to test other teachers. 1 John 4:1 says "Don't believe every spirit, but test the spirits ,whether they are of God". Osteen may say Jesus is Lord and Savior, but he doesn't live in God's will. life is about doing God's will for His glory, not ours, not for money, success, or popularity, but for God. And we must speak the WHOLE TRUTH of the Gospel including sin, Hell, surrender to God, and judgement, don't listen to Osteen, he is a false teacher and fake Christian. Motivational messages without focusing on the full Gospel is unbiblical. We don't have the power to speak things into existence, we ARE NOT little gods, God does what He wants, and we are to conform to His will, not vice versa. God grants our NEEDS, He does not grant our wants unless they are in line with His will, not yours. If you read 2 John 1:10-11, you will read that if you support, encourage, praise, or welcome a false teacher, you are participating in their evil work, so don't watch Joel Osteen or any Lakewood church preachers or support them anymore. You can also pray to God about this if you are saved, and wait for His response, if you aren't saved, confess your sins to God, ask for His forgiveness and for Him to turn you away from them and to Him, submit and surrender every single part (even the ones hard to give up, but ask Him to help and He will) of your life to Him, and commit the rest of your life to following Him, reading, meditating on, and applying His Word (the Bible) to your life daily, and sharing the Gospel with those around you all with the help and through the power of the Holy Spirit regardless of the cost, even if it means death.
