such a beautiful instrument but what a shame there are so many things that need polishing, like legato, pitch, vibrato, style and dynamics, to name a few. I hope he gets it sorted because he has the voice, the looks and the possibilities to become a great singer.
@@Ihdc1 His performance is fine. It’s all just a mater of taste. To me he sounds vocally unfinished. When one compares his sound to a Franco Corelli, Richard Tucker, Franco Bonisolli, and of course Luciano Pavarotti , this young man doesn’t seem to have that kind of polish. Which in my opinion is a big problem with Opera today.

Actually, he has developed in the direction of Jose Cura. If you listen to the 2020 recording of Il Tabarro today, the wobble has become even more pronounced. It's very unfortunate.
@@borisvonderlinde5184Saw him in Tosca at the MET last week and he was in good voice. No wobble. I think he’s probably someone whose voice sounds better in the house than on recording for whatever reason.
@@bradvien2529yes i heard him too and wondered who that darker sounding tenor was. I had no program so i couldnt look anyone up. I had seen him 2 years ago in Aida and thought he was PHENOMENAL. I was surprised how laser like his voice was next to Radvonovsky, just as clear and projecting as hers.
