This slim, sharp blade combines strength and precision, thanks to its particle metallurgy steel. It's designed to be all you need, without any extra bulk. The thicker steel near the handle gives you a comfortable, blister-free grip, and the blade’s narrower width makes it more agile than the trend of extra-wide knives. The "Light-Speed 8" is nimble for slicing and turning, with enough clearance...

What's the difference between cpm s35vn and just s35vn
did I mention this knife is.. badass?
Man, this is excellent knife content. Direct and well-spoken, nice production, and the shot looks great without feeling contrived. It's just very authentic. I subbed
Thanks for the feedback- we're going to do more like this ongoingly. Please keep a look out.
How do you sharpen the knife?
You don't. It goes dull and you have to buy a new one...😆
You can send it back to us- free sharpening for life. But it doesn't need sharpened much because of the unique serration method.
Also, the wave serration peaks are spread out enough you can use a rod.
@@Ryulin18 Absolutely false. You can hone it with a rod after/before each use. Not to mention you can utilize our complimentary mail-in sharpening services. The knife will last lifetime, if not 2 lifetimes.
I'm so happy to have one of these! SUPER SLICER - what a name!
We too!

Looks like a helluva knife. Great video.
I’ve been looking at this for awhile. Wish I could have seen it in use a little. Your video is the most In depth video on this tomahawk believe it or not. The company really should do a video on their products so people can make a more informed decision because the videos out there now really haven’t shown the product well at all yours being the best like I said and the longest at 2 minutes 🤷♂️.
❤ this knife
Have you heard con magnacut?
Where can I purchase these?
Stunning
❤❤❤❤ is so delicious
Very nice 👍🏻
What’s the moisture content underneath? I’ve made this multiple ways, but it’s always been raised from the bottom of first pan on A little rack or something Was always told that you should avoid the juice. Do you think this makes any difference?
Thx Corey and all the gals and guys building fantastic products .. JB & DB
Best steak knives in the biz .. the multi color set is awesome and their knives make a great gift ! Check them out ! FYI, I’m not a bot, but a very satisfied owner of many !😉👍
I don't know. It seems like a small blade for that kind of work. See how the guy keeps having to draw the knife across once he's made the initial cut? Awkward. Just get a chef knife.
I need this knife!!
I really want this knife. Talk about a do it all blade...
Grausamste Tierquälerei!!! Informiert euch!!!
Lol wait till they start forging bet it’ll blow ur shit away no offense we are all fucked
I actually got one of your custom Bird and Trout knifes here this summer around the time this was posted! Thank you!
We got one of your throwing Tomohawk for a family friends to use and he loves it! Thank you!
Have you guys seen my new video?
Y’all watched my new video?? 👀
I liked your review and decided to purchase a Bird and Trout knife. Unfortunately, NWKW charges $120 to ship to Australia and charged me taxes ($28). Last month Urban EDC shipped a knife to me for $22 and did not charge taxes. NWKW is ripping off customers.
So the micro herbs also add height to the dish... Nice. Thank you for teaching me today! But here's one question: How can I manage to serve -let's say- 6 plates simultaneously at home. I recon at the time I'm done with everything the tuna etc. would be cold. You could always use warmed up plates, but... Let's be honest, Chef. There HAS to be an additional trick not shown in the video. Maybe a salamander or anything like that?
In a restaurant we use heated plates , and we plate under a heatlamp. At home, use heated plates and use heated bathtowels on your table to put your plate on, So then don 't come in contact with a cold table and stay warm longer. When you have a radiator nearby, use That to put your plates on and to plate them. In some specialty stores you can also bye real sheap heatlamps for at home. And use only very hot ingredients.
Modeled after a Hudson Bay actually
Simple but elegant
Which honing rod were you using here? Link?
Hey, Brett- that one was an Idahone ceramic rod. We're not carrying them at the moment- but you can get the directly from their website. We're now carrying this one from worksharp. www.newwestknifeworks.com/products/work-sharp-fine-ceramic-honing-rod Either one will work-- you want the "fine" one mostly. You should never let your knives get to the stage where you need the coarse rod. If they get to that point- send them back to us for a free sharpening and then start touching them up with the fine rod, would be my recommendation!
Beautiful video
Does anyone here actually know how Foie Gras is made ? No? Let me just let you know that foie gras is made from goose and duck liver, however, the birds the liver is taken from go through a 4 week long hell where 2 or 3 times every day a metal tube is stuck down their throat and food is pumped into their stomach..... a ridiculous amount of food. So much so that their livers swell up to 10 times their normal size, and they can hardly fit inside their already cramped cages. Their wings and beaks often break from this abuse. They are then slaughtered at around 12 weeks old. Please stop this cruelty.
I’ll be enjoying some perfectly-seared foie gras soon… Cope, you emotionally stunted clown.
Thanks for the info. Would still eat.
@@VeniViciVeritas I eat meat (and foie gras) but I think your angry response shows you're the emotionally stunted one.
@@madtonesbr Not angry, you clown. Amused at how such neurosis has become ubiquitous Cope
Except it’s not made that way. Water fowl lack a gag reflex so the tube doesn’t damage the throat nor are they in any pain. An example in the wild is when they swallow live massive fish whole as it just sits in their necks until they die. Are they in pain? Most likely, no. They’re fed 250g of feed, 3 times a day. And the liver expands up to 6x, not unlike how they gorge themselves in the wild for the winter where their livers are adapted for enlargement during winter migration.. They also have a mortality rate of 1% which is 10x less than backyard chickens. They know stressed or pained fowl doesn’t produce good foie gras. Much more humane than almost every type of animal agriculture.
Amazing!
I can't find the steels on New West's website. Don't you sell them?
Great Job! I really enjoyed seeing all the different knives being demonstrated.
I wish this was a production blade shape.
Beast! 🙌🏼
I love that they are American made.
ha Rubino's pizza was my high school hangout in the late 60s and early 70s.
Go Bucks!
Here's another tip: don't grind knife filings onto the cutting board where you're prepping food.
I am IRONMAN!
Thank you
The whole video is fantastic, with great explanation, and bringing Henry Ford and Swiss watches to the table adds something else. Still, even then, nothing can beat this, "at New West, everybody is incredibly proud of their work", that's all you need to succeed... New West!
🔪
I live n Alpine, work in Jackson. Probably drove by this place a million times. Didn’t even know it was here. I’ll have to check it out. Generally locals try to stay away from downtown Jackson and the square.
Great knifes
Mine is in the mail! I can't wait
These knives are amazing. Out of budget but one day 👊🏼
The "gusset in the case". LOL. Does this guy have a clue of what he's talking about? Hey Gary, it's a welt in a sheath.
🥲🥲🥲🥲love that knife
