Life on Mars? - David Bowie cover by Christian Thrane
During lockdown I decided to start a project that I would produce entirely on my own. I did most of the recording and arranging by myself. Life on Mars? felt like an appropriate track to do. 50th anniversary, the lyrics and we just made it to mars. Thank you to everyone participating!

I just found this song a few days ago and got obsessed with it, so I started looking at covers. This is one of my favorites and I'm currently trying to learn it to play on guitar and sing it too. It's actually kind of difficult, both to play and sing, but I don't think it's out of my skill level. The way this video was shot made it feel like an older TH-cam video for some reason, which I like, and it was played so well. I love it!

Bloody great cover. I absolutely love this song being sung by Bowie, and I’ve heard so many ( in my opinion) rubbish versions even by celebrities. You all did a great job…. Thank you.
Outstanding! In every way. The arrangement. The sound quality. Playing. Vocals. Everything. This rivals, if not even surpasses the original. Absolutely fantastic. I'm guessing that most people finding this version will have come across Pieter Schrevens solo piano version. If you haven't, it's a must watch. Excellent video.

Thank you! It's very simple. It's just my SG through a Marshall 1974x recorded with a shure sm57. And then som tape delay in the mix.

Guy's, as singer myself, a 40 plus year fan of Bowie's and having seem score's of covers brutalized, over sung, trying to look and display Bowie's mannerisms etc...this was an absolute joy to have listened to and have watched. WELL DONE! Christian as you know that in the chorus hitting and holding MARS is both as difficult as it is important. You have to be confident you're going to get there and when you do you want to be sure you absolutely want to "open up" and stand on that note both vocally and as important emotionally....you did both and you did it well to boot. Again that was a pleasure to have listen to, ALL you guys did a wonderful job, cheers :)
