I wish I had that Dragon Warrior battle music when I was growing up. It's a surprisingly challenging exercise and I would have been really into it.

For sure!! I studied with Final Fantasy music since childhood so I totally know what you mean. Nothing like studying things you enjoy.

Also speaking about challenge, this music is not unlike Bach! It can be pretty intricate

Transcribing the Dragonlord battle music was like something straight out of the Klavier. Many double-sharps.
