I've reached this folder but the files are all just a "File" type, not sure how why it's not opening as a font file :(
@@vynyx4684 you can try adding a font file extension. It’s usually .otf. You can also try Right click and use “open with” (or your operating system’s equivalent).

If there is nothing in the folder then you have not installed the fonts. Remember you need to install them after you activate them.

Sir can you use the script in illustrator?
Hi! No, this will not work with Illustrator. Did you use Illustrator to make books? Illustrator is for...well...illustration and similar things :). For layout, you should use a proper layout software, which is what InDesign is.
the script example isn't working which is a shame
The script works. If you want some more help understanding how to use it, you can start with describing what error you are encountering, or uploading screenshots to imgr, along with your OS and software version number.
Hey Eric, thank you for the detailed explanation. Everything's set but when I try to double click on the script, it's automatically opening it in after effects. Could you please suggest what I could do to tackle this.

I dont see the library as an option on my Mac
I was able to find the library, but now I dont see CoreSync
@@jenelleSELLERS-h6h Hi! It's unlikely that you don't have a CoreSync folder if you are running any Adobe CC programs. Maybe you found the wrong "Library" folder (there are a number of them). First, make sure you turn on "show hidden folders." On North American keyboards, that's cmd-shift-period. Second, follow the path in the description, and shown at 2:30, to get the right one.
Hi, my "r" folder is empty. I even ticked the hidden items.
Are you sure you installed the fonts, in addition to activating them? See 1:26

Wish you covered the part about masks. How you created them, how they work into this process and how / why you choose them in the dropdown. I have 2 PNG's and want one to morph into the other, but there are no masks. Does the mask have to be a pixel-perfet match to the edge of the alpha channel or can it be a simple mask, as long as there's a mask? My PNG's are rather complex, so using the pen tool to make a mask would take days. Hoping to avoid that. Thanks!
You can see me create the Masks starting at 5:40.

For Windows users, you can use the same path as he shown but click in "exibition" and check "show hidden files". Done! Now you can see all the files. Note: If your file is without extension, just click once and add ".ttf" at the end of the name, to make them usable as font files.

@ericforest9168. Thank for your work on this video. You may already know this. I was taught to cut a “v” shape tab ( with the v pointing towards the foot) with a sharp knife, all of the way through the folded signature. You can write the page numbers easily on the tab. When you unfold the sheet the signature is paged through, with the numbers the right way up and easy to view. (Tip - underline the 6 and the 9 for clarity). The test to tell if you have the page sequence correct is that the sum of the page numbers on adjacent/side by side pages will always add up to one more than the pages in the signature e.g. page 1 next to page 16 = 17. This also works when you insert one 16pp. signature inside another to make a 32pp product etc. From a retired, time - served print finisher with 42 years experience. Stay safe and well.
Thank you! If I redo this video, I’ll definitely add this knowledge in.

Thank you. You made this SUPER easy to do. I have a question. If I use this fonts on a website, what happens if a person on the other end doesn't have this font installed on their computer? How does the font show up on their end?
@@KimCastle hey! If you are hand coding the webpage, you want to add to your CSS @font-face { font-family: 'FONT NAME'; src: url('path/to/FONTFILE.otf') format('opentype or truetype or whatever it is'); } The font file must be saved to a web location. If you mean with CMSs (wordpress, squarespace) etc, I don’t know! But I’m sure you can find it with a google :)
@@ericforest9186 Thank you for replying so quickly. What I was asking, if I include an Adobe font in my CSS, how would the font show up for other people if they do not have the font on their device?
@@KimCastle to do that, first save the font somewhere online, eg: kimcastle.com/fonts/fontfile.otf. Then use the code I commented earlier, adding your path to the font. However, Adobe fonts have a web API like google fonts. You can just link to the font in <head> and apply it in CSS. Follow this: helpx.adobe.com/ca/fonts/using/add-fonts-website.html

Good lesson! remember this cool plug, but can't find it. can you help?
Hi Eric, not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I get a JavaScript Error that says "Cannot create the link resource from the given URI."
Sounds like some kind of pathing issue. Could be pathing to the links, could be to the export destination. Are you using Bridge? Links on a network or cloud? Exploring to anything other than your local disk? It's hard to diagnose without being there - but my first step for troubleshooting would be to create an 8-page document, with some lorem on each page, and no other objects. Then run the script on that test document, exporting to your desktop. If it works, this tells you that the problem is not inherent in the script itself, but involves some interaction between the script and the particular file you are attempting to impose. If that is the case, I would try packaging the document in question and saving to the local disk. Make sure the packaged includes copies of all the links (just like sending for print) so that any URIs are certain and local. Open the newly packaged version and run the imposition script on that. If that doesn't work, I would reboot. If that doesn't work, I would re-install InDesign. If that doesn't work...I'm out of ideas!
