😂I sure wished I could videos like that 😂 I still have not figured out how to put on thumbnails and doing things like like you did with this is just amazing anywho maybe one day I figure it out 😂 by-the-way this is a awesome video 😊.
🙂
Love the lamps,, as a kid I remember our family would use them when the power went out. We would sit around the table and put puzzles together. I think wicks are still available at craft stores and maybe big box. We used to use kerosene but converted to oil. Don’t quote me but I think the wicks were different. Thanks for sharing:)
Thank you for sharing your memories and the info! I will check around. Thanks also for watching and your comment!🙂
❤❤❤❤
I see someone else has a shadow too. which hammock would you recommend to me as a first time user?
LOL! Hi Gerard! Well I'm not a pro at hammocks by any means. We have a few of the $30 ones from Walmart and Menards and they work great and still holding up. I am perty thrifty. I don't think you have to pay a lot. I do have an E.N.O. I really like that was in this video. But I have heard Superior Gear, Warbonnet, and Dutchwear are really nice. Thanks for watching my friend!
#1 Survival Item for me is sort of interchangeable…Fire if it’s Cold, Water if it’s Hot. But if I just HAD to pick just one, it would be FIRE EVERY TIME!!! Knife and Shelter further down the list. I usually get a lot of hate for that, but if you’ve spent as much time in the bush as I have, you inherently know what’s most important. You’ve got to survive long enough to need a knife and shelter 😏. Btw, nice little kit.
Thanks for watching.🙂
The tin foil is used for hats to stop THEM from reading your thoughts. Just joking.
🤣
oh my goodness , this is so funny 😅
😁😘🙂
😂🤣😂love it, hammocks are awesome.
Me too! But I wish random people wouldn't give me a hard time for hanging around.🤣 Thanks for watching!🙂
Beautiful ❤
oh my what a tease. that one rock was so pretty
😆
Good morning marty
Good morning sir, I hope you're doing well and have a great day! 🙂
Just stumbled across your channel. Love your content. Looking forward to more!
Welcome! Thanks so much!🙂
No fair!!😢 You eat well but do little cheats here and there and you are still loosing weight. I just gained 6 lbs back.. my cheating is a square if 90% dark chocolate
You are always beautiful and wonderful my love.😘🙂
With this wind and lack of rain campfires are out. We need rain
Yea hopefully we get a little soon.
I'm with you brother about summer!! It is terrible in south Georgia! It is pure misery to me! Love fall and cool weather.
Thanks for watching and for your comment! Oh I don't think I could handle it down in Georgia, or anywhere in the south. It's bad enough we have hot summers away up here in Minnesota, But at least we have cool relief coming. I hope you get some cool weather this fall and winter too. Thanks again !🙂
Great bags I use these all the time my brother was in the military
Yeah I just really like all these little pouches for kits and gear. High quality good stuff and history too. Thanks for watching!🙂
Why do you bother making stupid videos?
Lots of beautiful country we have, enjoyed the ride along, thanks for sharing:)
Thanks for watching! Yeah I'll try to do more of them and just share what I see on the road. Thanks for your comment and have a great day! 🙂
I never realized how much you should carry with you in the event of an emergency. Thanks for all the excellent information.
Yeah I am always learning too. And to be honest there's a lot of people that like to be super ultralight only carry the minimal, and that's fine, but I think it's more important to make sure you have what you need and be prepared for anything, at least I want to be. Thanks for watching and for your comment!🙂
Just came across this video and brought back so many childhood memories, I lived in Nara visa 19 years ago. My parents were the last known folks to own western stars motel . I was 14 years old I remember the truck stop and the post office were the only two places outside of our motel that were open . I was homeschooled as there was no school open . My father and I painted the building blue and white together . There was only a population of 54 ppl in that town when I lived there. Your video brought me so many tears but not in a bad way it was more like a walk down memory lane . Thank you so much for posting this video it made me want to go back and watch our old family videos from when we lived there and old pictures .
Thank you so much for watching and for your comment! I'm so glad you liked the video. It does seem like a nice little town. That motel is very iconic. Next time I'm through there and have time I want to pull over and walk up to see that old white church. I bet it's beautiful. Thanks again for the history and sharing your memories.🙂
My daughter just posted a comment yes we were the ones that painted the motel and my family owned it for a short while. Nara Visa has history mis the cowboy poetry guests and travellers along the highway ,,54
I want to make more Firestarter s for you

😅
I'm glad you stopped there as well Marty. Very interesting place. To think some ancient people were motivated to do this, create these images on the desert floor. In an environment as harsh and unforgiving as this you would think basic survival would have been a high priority. Seems obvious that those that created these felt they were worthy of the time taken to create them. Thank you for sharing this place of power Marty.
Yea it was really interesting. Definitely not my kind of place and temperature for a hike, but it was still fun and glad I did it.🙂
@@MartysRamblings2024 you get to see things many people don’t Marty. You sharing them allows us a chance to see them too and I appreciate that.
@@thedriftingspore Yes sir, that's why I do it. It's a challenge for me in some of these places lol. I want to do some outdoor cooking and other videos, but not too much til I get home where it's cool.😊
Lovely work my friend, place looks and feels great!
It was nice but a little warm for me. Glad I did it though. Thanks for watching!🙂
I've heard of those...cool!!
Yea it was very interesting.
That is one man's inspiration and imagination realized. That is one thing I would very much like to see in person someday myself it is only 4887 kms or 3036 miles from Nova Scotia. If ever you had a chance to place a little piece of me there Marty in the form of a decal or sticker should you ever receive one I would be forever grateful to you my friend. Thank you for sharing this Marty.
Yea it was interesting to see. We have alot of that kind of stuff on the highways and roads of America. Some are unique and weird and some are historical, but they're all interesting. Yes absolutely Steve send me one of your stickers and I'll put it on there next time I go by .😀
@@MartysRamblings2024 thank you Marty! That would be so awesome.
Driven by there several times, used to think it was some kind of communication tower until I googled it lol. Thanks for sharing:)
Yeah it is kind of odd to see out in the desert. I finally had to stop and explore. Thanks for watching! 🙂
It looks like your fuel tank is not getting pressurized. Are you holding your thumb over the hole in the end of the pump when you're pumping? Mine needs around 40 pumps. When you turn the valve on it should hiss pretty loud and you would see gas coming out of the burner. Your tubing could be dirty or clogged as could the tip. That lantern is very bright. The Coleman stuff is exciting. Always a bit risky haha Thanks for sharing Marty!
Yea I had the hole covered, but doesn't seem to build pressure. I'll have to work on it when I get home again. Prob watch a few TH-cam videos on it first lol. I am having fun with these stoves and lanterns. I want to find a Coleman kerosene lantern and a one burner stove next.😁 Thanks for watching Steve!
Excellent video Marty! I have a Coleman 2 burner propane stove and that thing works like a champ. Would love to have one of the lanterns. I also remember the green and white cooler you have. That was many years ago! Thanks Marty for the memories!
Thanks for watching!🙂
Pump is dried out..... There are many youtube videos on fixing Colman !
Ok thanks so much! I'm always learning.🙂
Always had good luck with the older Coleman products. Love your scroll saw collection, I need more practice with mine lol. Thanks for sharing:)
Yea as I get older I'm getting more nostalgic and remembering old things. Funny how brand names trigger memories. Thanks for your comment!🙂
That lantern is sweet so bright! The stoves were an issue with o rings and spiders love those tubed a pipe cleaner works great. TY 4 sharing about your garage. hope you have a fire extinguisher handy? Also, you are looking great how is that going?
Thank you! Yes I have a fire extinguisher in garage and shop. It's going great! I have lost 33 pounds in less than 3 months and feel super. Thank you sir for watching and hope your doing well.🙂
Coleman has made some awesome gear over the years. But I do find that the quality has gone down just a tad...but still not bad for the price.
Yea I have heard that some items are made over seas, though much is still made here in the U. S. so I suppose quality varies. Thanks for watching!🙂
Thanks for sharing, when our kids were young we had a Coleman pop up camper and we would go every weekend. I think the pump on your stove is bad.
Nice! Come to think of it we also had a Coleman pop-up camper. Thanks for the info and comment!🙂
I love to go into my workshop, and make scroll saw projects. Working on Christmas projects now
Very cool. I'm making alot of Christmas ornaments this year, that's probably about all. Thanks for watching and for your comment!🙂
I would rather have a collection of knives that are useful than a drawer full of ''collectable's worth ten thousand bucks Nobody puts a scratch on their five hundred dollar piece They take 'em out and drool over them and put 'em back in the show case
I agree. Mine are thrifty, useful, and enjoying😊 Thanks for watching!🙂
That was a really good, but true on what and not to do because you want to see that eagle 🦅 fly by,not what people leave behind 😝. On till your next adventure.😎
Yea I am easily distracted LOL. Thanks for watching!😀
😊 What is something you always leve on the trail? 😊 😊 Once again a nother awesome video 😊
My mind?🤣
You are so funny. Love you. This was interesting as when I am by myself I try and be quiet.
I'm funny looking LOL😘
Awesome collection. I find that no matter how many I have, I’ll see a new one that sparks my interest & before I know it I buy it 😂 Thanks for sharing 😊
Yea I hear ya there! Thanks for watching.😀
😊I need to do video of all of my knives 😊you got yourself a very nice collection 😊A great video 😊
I encourage you Frankie to do more videos to share your life!🙂
That town name was in one of Clint Eastwood movies I seen that town when we drove down from Minnesota to Arizona a few years back
That's so cool! Thank you so much for the history, for watching, and for your comment!🙂
