I dont trust nothing on my 5.0 when it comes to winterizing it. I run 5 gallons of the crap pink stuff rated for -100 which freezes at 6 degrees through the outdrive. Then drain it all out. Pull the hoses and pour extended life real antifreeze into everything. Usually takes 3 gallons. And leave it in until spring time. No desire to stress over the pink crap freezing. My previous boat was fresh water cooled, miss that system. Its just to damn expensive to make this boat fresh water cooled. I'll stick with real antifreeze

You say you did that in the engine bay. Let's see you do it on a 97 f150, with the ignition coil d. Which is number 4 lol.

Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate you making a video on this issue with Ford's ignition coil wires I've always just spliced the wires and I didn't want to do that with my new truck and it helped me out tremendously ty again for making your video

thnx for sharing, i have random misfires in my 2018 f-150 super crew cab 5.0, just started to use forscan for checking DTC's, i will now check with the mode 6 for misfires etc

For rx8s you do this then shut the key off and then start it untill it runs it wont go away

Great video!! Saved me much @$$ pain, scraped knuckles, bruised arms, and more. A quick trip to Napa for a $5.00 1/2" (F) to 3/8" (M) socket adapter, and was able to remove and replace #8 spark plug in 10 min. Would love to buy you a beer, my friend!

You just saved me so much stress, headaches and aggravation. I was getting cylinder 2 & cylinder 4 misfire. Haven't had the truck long, but figured the coils were bad with the truck having 140k on it. I replaced all 8 and drove for a short while and felt the hesitation come back. Check engine light began blinking and the engine power was down to where my a/c quit and power steering was cutting out. I got 3 of these clips that broke as yours did. I pushed them back on as best I could and figured it would be ok, but obviously not. Thankfully I found this video and plan to hit the junk yard on my way home today. There is a few of these in the yard there. Hopefully I can find some that are still decent enough. No way was I going to cut and splice, but figured I would have to replace the whole harness and or take it to the shop. I am so relieved that I can fix this myself. I am good with cars and almost always repair things myself, but I do not like messing with electrical because things are so finicky. Thanks again. I feel so lucky to have found a video that was the exact problem and solution in 1 short video.
