You're right. that is not the Canada day fireworks. It just happened that the Loto-Quebec on that particular day was presented by Canada (as opposed to Italy, which will be next, and the Croatia, which is next... etc.) I'm open for any title that could clarify it. The link for the particular day is in the description. In regards to the music, I couldn't find the real music that was played on that day, but if you have a link to the music that was played and synchronized with the fireworks, then it would be my pleasure to overlay it

I'm glad you liked that video. It's true that flying at night is like flying blindfolded. You rely entirely on the signal location information to fly. with practice, you can get there too

Its true.....GPS helps tremendously. Vision on video feed and sound will get you around.... Mini 2 sensor not the strongest.... it's OK though for night flight

it depends on the areas and local regulations. also, it depends on the drone type. in the case of the DJI Mini2, which is a sub-250 grams, the regulations are a little bit more loose

I too live in Montreal and planning to buy a DJI Mini 2( this is my first time flying a drone) and that's why that question I asked. I am too concerned that flying around Montreal including old port, Mount Royal should be safe as long as I am not troubling anyone. Hope you can guide me on this. Many thanks!

@@sanketg25 I definitely do not recommend flying in downtown as your first time. It is good practice for you to drone outside of Montreal at first, to get used to all the drone settings and tricks. You also should be vigilant when you lose GPS signal (i.e. the drone cannot hold its position and it becomes fully manual). TH-cam is full of tutorials, which I recommend you watch ALL of them :D

It is definitely a good idea to practice first, as Mini2 tends to lose gps signals between tall buildings. When it does, the Mini2 drifts with the wind and you will need to control it manually

I'm using iMovie for processing the video. Because it was shot at night, I generated the video using the highest codec available

I kept pushing the Mini2 to its limit, everytime :D ... it was able to handle as cold as -10C (below -10, I get cold and I prefer not to drone lol) I think for that video I did use ND filter, yes

That is a simple question, to which the answer is: no, I don’t use strobe at night. I rely on the maps view in the DJI app to locate the drone and get it back home

@@elienader thanks. I’m new at this so it’s just a genuine question. Because your footage is very nice. I’m always worried about VSOL & flying over cars & people. Do you fly VSOL & then edit the clips further?

@@MagedBishara It takes practice, and then you will build confidence for flying the drone :) ... start with big empty places first where you can see the drone. then slowly slowly, start pushing your limits.

exactly ... I tried shooting at night few times, and the results were pretty dark. After few tries, I finally found a location where there is enough lighting. Of course, the closer you get to the buildings, the more light there is ;)
