Hi. Could you tell me what type of connection is needed to work in zone 2? I only connected the sourrond back wire pair and it didn't work. From what I read, I also need to connect the analog output. Can you help me?
Correct, Zone 2 (being a stereo 2 channel output) can only accept analog inputs such as media players that have those audio RCA stereo Red and White cables for each of the two speakers. But you can also use the set up in this video to stream bluetooth music. Note that bluetooth music is also 2 channel stereo, so it works on Zone 2 just fine. This is why when you try to select a surround input source on Zone 2 (if you can in the first place), you will not hear anything. Note that the HEOS app shown in the video maybe a bit older than what it may be now, but the overall idea is the same.
