(**random side note from the main topic of this whole comment, you don’t have to read this bracketed part, you can skip** i don’t wanna be that typical depressed youtube commenter you see all the time but wil has really helped me stay here. i am still in a very very dark place right now and i won’t bore you with the deets, but wil keeps me going. i really *really* hope he knows just how much he makes a positive impact on people. god, i feel so cringe saying that but there kind of isn’t any other way to put it.) i really do miss this era of wil man :( . can’t even count the amount of times i’ve watched this video or just left it on loop for an uncountable amount of time (i say that as i constantly replay it while typing this lmao). i come back here all the time, this video and saline solution will always have a special place in my heart. this vid always puts a frog in my throat- it does a special feeling to me that i can’t explain,, nostalgia? longing? comfort? sadness? idk man, there’s no real way to explain it, you just have to know. i miss this era, i mean, im very glad at where he is right now, but i really miss this time. i miss when the community was small and comfy, when his fans weren’t half made from the dsmp (no hate to dsmp btw! i too also watch it, but i’m just saying how i miss when his fans just knew wil from wil, yk?) when everyone in his chat would constantly annoy him and make him laugh at our shit humour. and don’t get me wrong,!, i will always be proud of current wil and happy that i still watch him, i will always be forever more proud of how far he’s come and of all the insanely amazing achievements his made, but i do miss old wilbur.

I’ve grown up in a very musical family, and for my whole life really I was literally dragged into every genre of music and forced to learn loads of instruments, my mum would sometimes leave her Spotify playlist on for the whole day during the pandemic, I’ve heard so much music growing up and I’ve played loads of things myself and written one or two, but nothing I’ve ever heard or made has ever come close to the YCGMA album’s atmosphere, it’s calm, it’s unbothered I don’t know how to explain it but it’s just impossible to recreate, I could play as gently as I could on my guitar singing the exact same lyrics and it wouldn’t feel the same way Wilbur makes it feel, the sense of nothing the songs give off is something I absolutely love, and it is by far one of my fav albums I’ve ever found.

Going from this small group to being on tour in a band performing in multiple places, im so proud of how far he and lovejoy has come :))
