This is my first ever attempt at a video essay. Of course, this video really isn't much of an argument, more so a long appreciation letter to the creators and the crew behind this legendary show produced by Nickelodeon. I'm excited to start this first chapter of my TH-cam journey, and I hope you can find some enjoyment behind it. This is only the first, but certainly not the last of what I have...
Great video. Sad you're down on Miles x Gwen, but you still seem to really like Gwen and that's a rare combo, so you have earned a subscribe. Hope to see more SV material. It's a wasteland out there right now. Hardly any new content.
I appreciate that so much bro 🙏🏾 I'm one of those people that felt like their friendship was more natural. I don't hate the idea, I can definitely see them building their relationship even further in "Beyond The Spider-Verse."

All ill say is long as we dont raceswap Peter its all good. Im a stickler for originals. Peter is THE Spiderman to me. Its not cause he white, i can relate to his white ass cause hes from NY like me, hes just the first. He will always be spiderman to me, because that shaped his life and struggles and became apart of him. He set the standard. I LOVE Ben Reily(and Kaine) his literal clone and he wont be THE spiderman to me. Miles is a cool character, but he wont ever be what i think of when i hear "Spiderman". Everything in the Spiderman mythos, is heavily tied to Peter.
@@UnifiedEntity I can't be mad at that. All love to the OG Spidey. I think it would defeat the purpose of the idea that anyone can be Spider-Man if they race swapped Peter. Seriously, that would be so dumb 😭

Yup. Insomniac Miles especially irritates me. His character is rushed in Spider-Man 2. I feel that passing of the torch moment should have happened in Spider-Man 3. Giving Peter's arc more time, and letting Miles flesh out his character more

Bro loved this video and the comedy is on point .Asking a question I never thought and the ending was great .But your intro was a bit lng so, maybe you could cut the first 14 seconds (from the fade in to the eyes glowing in th lack background)

I kind of wonder if with Princess and the Frog, the idea of “what if instead of the frog turning back into a prince when she kisses him, she also turns into a frog?” came first. Because by itself, that is a fun twist on the original story. It feels like the decision to make her black probably came much later, when they were already too committed to the idea.
I wouldn't be surprised. Unfortunately I don't have the art book so a lot of the behind the scenes stuff is lost on me. It makes a lot of sense tho
It was deep. And was about Toronto. At the time, Toronto Police were ignoring a serial killer picking off gay black men. After the missing persons cases were finally resolved, an inquiry into the killings lead to the Missing and Missed Implementation Team, of which I am proud to be a part of as a civilian member.

The biomes in Zootopia all exist in Canada, because Zootopia, although they state it is in the USA (American flag), is actually supposed to represent Canada, more specifically it is a satirical critique of Canada.

I would also live in the rainforest district! I love the darkness, and it’s perfect for my daily naps lol I never watched that deleted scene before!! I kind of wish they kept it! Maybe as a flashback or even at the climax of the movie! Even without that, Zootopia showcased the dark culture of humanity really well for a kids' movie! (microaggressions, discrimination, segregation, stereotypes, etc.) Btw, is it bad I never imagined Nick to be black when I first watched the movie 😭 It reminds me of Arthur and like sometimes it’s hard for me to visualize animals being a certain race. Great video like always! 🥳
I wish they would've kept it too, it was a fine movie without it but damn it's such a cool premise 😭 No it's not bad 😂 It's just that every time I watch I relate to Nick HEAVY. I was actually being hypocritical lol, but I had to say it regardless 😭

I agree with your point on how Disney brings up reality when writing POC characters. It's possible to have a diverse cast without relating it to their everyday struggles

The princess and the frog is such a beautiful movie, the 2D!? The only other movie I remember from childhood with black people was Kirikou.
Yeah this was Disney's 2D animation at its best. I don't think I realized that enough until I re-watched it recently. Such a beautiful film. I don't think I've heard of Kirikou, I'll have to check it out
I wish Walt Disney Animation Studios went the Spider-Verse route.
I would love that too, I feel like they wanted that with Wish, but it just didn't do what I think they were going for.
Wdym? Of course, disneys movies aren't as great as the old ones, but they are trying their hardest to make new movies, like moana 2. I thought turning red was great. There will be more movies on in life, but not as great as the old ones. I would say the newest "good" film would be turning red, considering it's a movie that people can connect to. Other than that, I think your opinion is great as well.
I agree. Just in my personal opinion, Disney hasn't made anything to that level of impact Moana had in a while. I mentioned Encanto, and yes Turning Red was good too, but I wouldn't consider them "great," or at least not the level of Moana. Regardless, by the end of the video I mentioned that of course Disney will make great films like Moana again. Even better than it. I personally believe they haven't done that yet though. But I definitely get your perspective, these are all just opinions

@@محمداشرف-د5ب3ط Nah, I thought Encanto was decent to good, I never considered it great. But it's definitely been one of Disney's bright spots lately. In regards to Moana, the impact that film had. With that, a great narrative and memorable characters. I mean, there's a reason the film is getting a sequel, and a damn live action remake😭
@@TheArkhamSpider1 Yeah, you're right, Moana is so famous I think she's going to get out of the princess franchise to be her own franchise, just like Frozen, right after the sequel's success. However, as for Lankanto, actress Behind the Voice of Dolores said that Disney is making a sequel to the film now, Mirabelle has not yet joined the Disney Princely franchise, which means the film will be its own franchise, which means it is very popular on its own. Bob chabek himself said that incanto would be the next big franchise.

I love Madagascar 1 and 3, yet I don't like 2 at all. Reasons for Madagascar 2 to be the worst one: 1- It's a King Lion rip-off. 2- Makunga is just a pathetic Scar wannabe AND such a lousy, unfunny, boring villain. 3- Such a done-to-death, tired "son wants to be a performer while dad wants him to be a bruiser" cliche-y plot. How original is it... 4- Zuba's a major idiot who basically caused his own problems. Everything was basically his fault, not Alex's. And he never gets recognized for it, neither learns or apologize in the ending. 5- Marty's so unlikable in this one, his plot with the zebras was so unnecessary, senseless, and I did side with Alex over him. Their fight is so stupid compared to the first movie. 6- Numerous continuity errors and retcons (Melman's crush on Glória not existing in the first movie, appearing out of nowhere in this film; or Alex's birth mark not existing in the first one, or his dance too). 7- Plothole: the worst of all is how the food chain plot, who was entirely forgotten and never addressed in this sequel (don't the lions eat the other animals? Why the predators and prey seem to not have any problem in this second movie?? They just forget whole Alex's drama and nature rules in the first one???).😮 Nana, the Penguims, and Moto Moto carried this movie to me, they're honestly its redeeming qualities. Madagascar 2 honestly feels overrated to me, It's just TOO MUCH flawed to be great. 1 and 3 are much better IMO.
