Janine - (Solos by Mark Knopfler)
From the 2024 album One Deep River by Mark Knopfler. A mature work, full of emotion and feelings. It exudes obsessive attention to detail. A poetic sound for each piece of the opera. Here Janine track number 7 of the work, I hope I haven't damaged it too much with my interpretation. Grazie Mark e Grazie Pavel Fomenkov for giving me the inspiration for the video.

Congas and Bongos would have been better and a better blend. But the guitarist is still on top of it well done. Earl Klugh is my hero as well.
Perfect! Thanks Paolo!
😉👋
👍👍👍 brano bellissimo ed estremamente suggestivo.
Il grande Chet…..! Grazie Roberto 😊
Great picking and a fantastic sound, Paolo!
Grazie Martin!!!
I'm always happy again when my friend Paolo posts a new tune...great pickin' and tone!😊
😂❤. Grazie Rick? Do you like thise green McGill on Orlando AceTone tube amp???? 😊
@paolospadaro Yes I do like it, normally I would think you'd need a dedicated acoustic amp but the Orlando handles the nylon string very well...sounds natural to me!
@@rickcurtis2983 there is also the presence of a 15” alnico speaker, maybe a ceramic speaker would be even better, who knows?
@paolospadaro I don't know either, sounds great with the alnico!
@@rickcurtis2983 grazie Rick for your Feedback! 🙏👋🫡
Nice!!!
@@victorwong9622 grazie
Bravo!!
Beautiful Paolo! This is one of my favorite Chet tune. As usual, you capture the feel perfectly. Great start to a Sunday morning. Thanks!
🙏 grazie Peter. 😊
🌈🌞✨✨✨
😉🙏
hey this isint acid bath >:( (good job btw love the song)
@@PeterDosentCare Pagan not Paegan!!! 😜😜😜. Thanks
Great great tone and lovely playing.. Sounds sweet for a telecaster. I love the neck pickup on my tele.
Grazie, my Telecaster here, is driven by a hand made point to point amplifier with nos electrical components. 15” alnico weber speaker
I love this song and it's a lapsteel favorite. You need less reverb on your twin as it's masking the beauty of your playing
Grazie😊!!! But Reverb on “Sleepwalk” is a must!!! 😜😅 Grazie 🫡🙏
I used to run into Russell quite often when we both lived in Atlanta during the 80s. I was devastated when I heard about his passing on Friday. He was a fine human being.
You even knew him, wow!!! I was shocked last night when I learned of his sudden passing. he was a jazz legend 😪😪😪😪
I must admit..jazz arrangements are way over my head, but I appreciate their complexity and admire the vast chordwork. Wonderful performance my friend, beautiful tone from your L-5 and a fitting tribute....great work Paolo!😊
Very Honored Rick, Russell was a legend, I couldn't help but honor him. 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Bello!
🫡🙏
Question, what year is that Taylor made if you know? Does it have X brace or V brace? Thanks in advance.
X brace sure, maybe 2010/2011
Very nice
Wonderful pickin' Paolo! That's a really cool arrangement my friend, I like the happy mood of it! I see you take excellent care of your beautiful instruments. As you have told me in the past...they are 'works of art that make art'...I'll never forget!😊
Yes My Friend!!!! Yes…. Grazie ⛱🎸🫡😎
How can anyone deny the Martin. Its just such a true sound. Larivee would be the second best here.
love your fabulous guitar performance tribute Paolo ,,,,,,,,,,,greetings Renee
❤ I love chet’s music!!!
3:29 I’m totally stealing this lick - love the playing
Master Doyle Dykes licks 🙂↕️🙏!!!!
so beautiful.....
🙏
Can you tell me the name of the second song you played please? All three guitars have their own unique voice and all are very nice. Thank you for the video.
@@stevenisbrand511 It's a piece by Carl Miner, I don't know the title. Grazie a te… 🫡🙏
New fan and sub here. Happy Saturday morning to you. 🤠😎👍🎵🎶🎹🎸🎼👌😁Cheers, Bruce Keep playing and posting.
@@BruceLande grazie Bruce 🙏
Love that 35
Larrivee is by far the best to my ear
An unusual comparison, but I see what you are doing. Not saying one is better than the other…just comparing the two. I liked the Martin best overall, but I think the Taylor sounds great. The Martin top sounds much stiffer giving it a very tight focused sound and the Taylor top sounds more open and broken in. The open chords were very nice on the Taylor, but the Martin excelled at the finger picking. Can’t go wrong having both of these guitars!
Yes, two different beauties instruments!!!!!! 😎😊
Well, to my ears, here's my preferences.. (1=best) 1 Sennheiser (very open, balanced and airy) 2 Electro-voice (very close to sennheiser) 3 Samson (surprisingly good balance) 4 T-bone (limited freq resonse, no hi-end)
Grazie Rick 😊!
What was that tune you played at 37sec...I liked it!
@@rickcurtis2983 yeah beautiful piece, Drumheller Circle by Steve Bell
@@paolospadaro Thanks!!
Samson superiore a tutti gli altri👍🏻😉
@@ninicicirello1306 grazie, gran microfono 🎤!!!!
Bravo!! Bellissima interpretazione davvero in fingerpicking così!!!

Grande interpretazione, Paolo, hai stile e gusto.

Spendida versione!!!
Grazie Roberto!!!!! 🎬🙏🫡😎
I enjoyed your playing in these different styles Paolo! I remember seeing a YT video of Chet and Mark playing around with this tune in Chet's studio. Great pickin' my friend, hope you have good week!
Grazie Rick!!! That video!!!! I think I have the same DelVecchio that holding Mark 😅😂😂😂😂
Great performance in front of a beautiful backdrop! 👍
Grazie Martin 🎬🙏🙏🙏
This is fantastic. The most banjo-esque guitar version of this! How can I get the tab?! I think a lesson of this would get a lot of hits(and I could figure out what the heck you're doing on the banjo style part!)
thanks, the tutorial chapter is something that's been popping into my head for a while... actually. However, instead of the short you can watch, if you like, the standard black mountain rag video on my TH-cam channel.
All three sounded in incredible. My personal preference was: Martin D18 Gibson J45 Larivee
Grazie 🫡😉
Muy bueno, podrías subir el tutorial ????? Gracias 😉👍
Grazie Jose
Very relaxing 🫠 thank you !
Grazie a te, Matt!!! 😊
Please tune the guitars before recording...😢😢😢

Hi Paolo, very nice presentation. Another one of my all-time favourites. I would love to hear you play 'LA Paloma' on your Gretsch (if I may request!) Thank you. Take care Victor
Grazie Victor, uhm “La Paloma” which version, which arrangement? And then, intuitively, wouldn't it be more of a nylon guitar song? 😉
A kind of magic ✨🏖️
I love this tune...takes me back in time..thank you Paolo! Beautiful lead pickin' my friend, the tape echo was a great idea. Years ago I had an old Memory Man echo that simulated a tape unit but there's nothing like the real thing!
Yes, a real tape echo is irreplaceable. Obviously studio equipment, really too heavy to carry around. Thanks for your comment Rick……😎😌😉
Beautiful!
😊🙏
Thank you young man, I take my hat off to your beautiful tribute to Chet's birthday. Your video has also helped and reminded me that my dear mother would have also, had she still been alive, celebrate her '100th'birthday in October 2024! May I also so complement you on your superb guitar playing on the Gretsch 6122-59. Take care Paulo, Best wishes from Victor.
Grazie Victor 🙏, I love Chet and his music/sound!!! Beautiful Gretsch 6122/59 yes, with an original ‘64 supertron on the neck; and beautiful amp, Orlando AceTone with 15” Alnico weber speacker.
Just like my own Gretsch G6122-1959, Chet's Country Gentleman.
Great great guitar!!! (My guitar has a ‘64 supertron on the neck.)
Sounds great, Paolo!
Grazie Martin, supertron rule!!! 😉😉😉 (and a boutique tube amp)
yes, sound molto autentico!
Buongiorno Lorenzo, ho l’ossessione per i suono autentici. 😎🙏🙂↕️
