12V Accessory Outlet Mod. 2001 Tahoe Conversion to Ignition Switch Power.
This video details how to convert the "always on" 12vdc convenience outlets to "switched" power on a 2001 Tahoe/Suburban. This prevents accidental battery discharge when you forget to unplug a 12-volt accessory from the vehicle's convenience outlet. Disclaimer: I don't know if the electrical layout on any other Tahoe year is similar to 2001. If not, follow the CONCEPTS and PRINCIPLES presented here to achieve satisfactory results in your vehicle.

    My 03 Yukon Denali use to turn off but now it stays on most of the time and turns off sometimes by itself but I have an radar and sometimes I forget to unplug it so I'm wondering if theres a bad relay that is not turning it off and if it's in that box you added the jumper? Now mines has one socket on the front near the radio. another under it by the console, one inside the console cover, one behind for the passengers by the rear ac control and one in the back by the hatch passenger side panel and all stay on.

      My '01 did not have a relay controlling the acc 12v outlets. They were direct wired with a fuse. I suspect that your wiring design is similar to the video however. It sounds like you have a loose wiring connection BEFORE the under dash wiring box. Troubleshoot accordingly.

BUT i do see small stress cracks in the underside of the Case and notice it will not sit on the 4 corner supports on the bottom, so it looks like the battery has swelled. I'm guessing its a bad battery. Any one else have a battery swelling issue? Going to email them to see if I can get any replacement.

    Lol , love it i do the same thing easy as pie 👍. Once you change it once you really don't need to change it all the time as long as the filter is tight on the seal its good , once the filter during a service comes off relatively easy the seal needs to be replaced.

    • @adamxenon829
      @adamxenon829 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The seal must be changed if you are putting on a new filter. Every time. With no exceptions. Or else the new filter will eventually dislodge and poor suction into the transmission which will cause many symptoms and premature failure
