I had an elantra with the same engine. Even though I used it every day by plugging it into the circuit breaker, it was just like the first day. Very reliable and good engine
damn, i wish i had the 1.6, it feels like it gives some more beans, the 1.4L feels like it needs some more power
I own 2 1.6 D16V1 now :) EP2 and EU8 ^^ both in great condition!
Had the ep1 for a year and had to write it off. Very good car at the mountain roads and the snow, but not enough power for uphills/in general. Was gonna jump to the ep2 but might aswell skip it and go for the ep3 instead. One of the best chassis honda has made!
@@espenberg8773 oh yea the ep1 lacks power in uphill its crazy, i wish i had the ep2 aswell but i bought that car as a first cheap and good condition car, they aren't common here but oh well, still a cool car :)
@GameER which one would you recommend the ep2 or eu8? I'm looking at buying one and not sure which to choose

Hi....What's the valve (tappet) clearance for the 1.6 05 model!?
This engine (G4ED) works loud when it is cold. It was designed in that way. I always heard valve tapper when I started the engine. If you hear tappet at working temperature you have to find the problem. This engine should be used with 5W30 synthetic oil.
7:16 14 seconds in the CRDI engine 8.8 seconds in the gasoline engine

Is it a good car? Especially the engine and reliability
It is a great car with very good equipment. The quality of interior build is great. It has a problem with rust and the engine (1.6L) is not the most economic one. If you want to get it, try to find a nice 1.5 CRDi or 2.0 CRDi. 1.6/2.0 petrol type is good for LPG/CNG. I have never heard of any engine/gearbox fail. This car is one of "it never stops". If you have any other questions, just ask. I had this car of 6 years (and 52k km).
I love this car, I have almost 3 years since I bought it and no complaints with the enginee, gearbox and air condition works perfectly
