Fair warning to anyone considering getting this: HAVE THEM INSTALL THE PLATE it’s nowhere near as easy as this makes it seem, the way this thing fits in is diabolical to say the least. Just heed my warning and spend a bit extra, don’t be like me who actually lost blood and skin getting this shit together.

Bullshit. I’ve been trying to get this shit together for an hour. It absolutely does NOT just fucking click into place like that. Stuffs made well but holy hell there had to have been a better design for installation.

The IAT screw hole threads on it are litterally made of butter, buyer beware. EDIT: I rma'd it and they sent me back an intake that has much better looking threads. May have been a bad batch or manufacturer error.

Why spend all that money when you can keep the original intake by just removing it from the airbox, it is the same length after all Honda optimized it for this engine just zip tide it to the frame in a few places . Then just adapt a K and N air filter to it, same diameter as the chimera. That is what I did and repositioned the air temperature sender with a tie rap and put filters on the other breather tubes. Save a $160 and you do not loose the low end torque and it is so much quitter than the Chimera. Noise doesn't equate to more speed, it just seems so. I did this just to make adjusting the intake valve much easier.

I have a through exhaust without a catalytic converter. If I install such an intake system with a cone filter, will the adjustment capabilities of the original ECU be enough? I am afraid that the mixture will be too lean as a result, let me know how it works in practice. second question, will the check light come on when I exceed a certain level of injection corrections?
