heyy ! im hoping on participating in this years scholars cup but the thing is im not really a good debater, so could u give some tips im debating during wsc? Like the main themes that the debate topics are gonna come from?
Hiii! Debate is really a huge challenge for me and my teammates too! In wsc, the topics of the debate are so wide-ranging and super creative (e.g. AI, history, aliens) You can find some wsc debate topics in WSC Beijing Alpacas! It is a really useful webpage for scholars to prepare for wsc rounds! For tips for debaters, I think time management during the 15-minute preparation is very essential! Debaters should have good communication with their teammates during the preparation to find resources, set definitions and prepare rebuttals. Try to use more examples to enrich the persuasiveness of the speech!! ;) At last, wish u all the best in your upcoming wsc <33 hope to see u in the globals or toc ^^
