So it's a bit complicated. The Grimm Brothers took preexisting oral German fairytales for, uh, nationalistic reasons so similar versions existed in the area which what probably inspired Andersen's version "The Wild Swans" which in turn is part of the inspiration of Six Crimson Cranes. However if a Chinese or other Asian version exists somewhere, I wouldn't be shocked. There are dozens of different versions of Cinderella like the German or the most famous French one, but there's also a Chinese, and Vietnamese one. I'm not entirely sure, but i think I heard that the oldest version of Cinderella was from Egypt and a First Nation/Native American one exists somewhere.

For the first book, do they mean "Romantic" as in the style? Otherwise, yeah, what even? Great video! Would love to see more like this :) Edits not important; I just second-guess every comment I ever make

I read Gone Girl, and LOVED it! It was such a great thriller! I watched a movie like a year ago, and it was great, but the book was even better. So many unexpected turns of events, and what’s even better, all of them make sense. I feel like a lot of times thrillers are not believable, but here everything worked perfectly!

I also do not understand the hype of Shark Heart.

I am reading Burn Town in May!

Geez those Great Illustrated Classics are a throwback! I had a lot of them as a kid. Be careful though because I’m pretty sure they’re all abridged. So that might not be the original Wizard of Oz story.
