A band of adventurers, summoned by Commander Gorrund of the Daggerford Militia, embark on a perilous quest to uncover the mystery surrounding the disappearance of several townsfolk and militiamen. Haunted by the threat of werewolves lurking in the nearby forests, the party is led to believe that the creatures are responsible for the abductions.
Armed with a small quantity of silver ore, believed to be the werewolves' kryptonite, the adventurers set out to confront their adversaries. However, a greedy blacksmith betrays their trust, stealing the precious metal and refusing to aid them in their preparations.
Undeterred, the party ventures into the heart of the wilderness, where they encounter a chilling encounter with the creatures of darkness. Lured into the treacherous mists that shroud a Domain of Dread, Ravenloft, they find themselves trapped in a toxic fog that threatens their very existence.
As the sentient mist closes in, the adventurers seek refuge within a seemingly abandoned manor. Within its eerie halls, they discover macabre evidence of death and treachery. Will they unravel the mysteries of Ravenloft, or will they succumb to the darkness that surrounds them?
