Darren Till is an interesting one. It’s hard to say whether he was fast tracked or not. You can make the argument to say he was but anyone who KO’s Cowboy and goes 5 rounds with Wonderboy and almost finishes him especially back then is ready for the top of the division. Maybe he should have got one more fight in before fighting Woodley. I think after his loss to Woodley and Madsvidal he lost himself mentally and yes he did have some great moments at middleweight like Gastelum and Whittaker fight but it seemed like he lost that killer instinct he once had which I guess comes with having ultimate confidence. I like Darren Till it’s a shame to see where his career ended up.

The Ikram fight definitely surprised me, I expected a lot more from him. The strike that wobbled him didn’t even look that bad and he folded like a lawn chair. He also looked super nervous heading into that fight and to be fair Robert Whittaker is an absolute beast.

Ziam vs Silva - they are different weight classes, Charriere doesn't deserve a ranked opponent, MVP should fight Wonderboy or Prates next, as Prates just beat a formerly ranked ww, IMO Gomis got a robbery win and wouldn't deserve the #8 fw anyway, Imavov vs Izzy makes sense but Allen was very successful against Imavov on the feet, imagine what Izzy would do to him, and Moicano vs Pimblett is the only way to go

Cool match-ups don't get me wrong but they can't all get ranked opponents after these performances, Only Gomis can get a ranked guy and someone like top 12-15 but Morgan is 2-1 in the UFC he is like 2/3 fights away from a ranked guy and Battle needs a top welter-weight unranked before getting a shot at the rankings and Moicano deserves to fight higher than him like Beniel or if Chandler wasn't booked but if he is more into money then Paddy is the fight ot make ig . Saying this “started in 2018” is one of the most wrong statements I’ve ever heard. Wrestling has always dominated the sport. Wrestling alone has more ufc champions than the top 3 striking sports combined. It’s literally dominated from the start. I’d do a little more research next time.

Hopefully this is trolling but my god you must've just started watching MMA a year ago if this isn't trolling UFC 100 and 200 were just brawlers? UFC100 had more D1 wrestlers in the main card than the entirety of UFC300 The UFC has almost always heavily favored grapplers in the smaller divisions (170 and below) and been a bit more of a mixed bag at 185, 205, 265. Look at 185 for example - most grapplers never made it past Anderson despite being some of the most athletic (Yoel Romero for example). 205 has been primarily strikers since Jon Jones and DC left the division, which JBJ didn't soley rely on grappling to win when he was at 205. Heavyweight has had a lot of great grapplers but with the exception of Cain, you didn't see much of the spam grappling style (maybe Brock and Mir a bit also, but to a lesser degree) Wrestling likely fails at the heavier divisions because conditioning doesn't hold up the same and the consequences of failing a takedown and having a 220lb+ guy on top of you isn't worth the threat, so they need to be set up a lot more

I don't think wrestling is necessarily the issue, it's the fact fighters like merab and belal's plan is to win rounds and get a decision victory rather than trying to a finish which is boring. Compared to fighters like dricus and islam who use wrestling to look for finishes.

Maybe give some background on the fighters, what went on leading up to the fights, how the fighters dealt with their wins and losses afterwards, the critical reception of the fights, what rose should have done differently. just put some more effort into it.
