Fitting LM Corse digital dash to a Lotus Elise S2, but could be Exige, S1, S3
มุมมอง 1.2K9 หลายเดือนก่อน
So yeah, in this one me and Bill fit a LM Corse digital dash to Bill's Elise but I believe the process is virtually the same for a S1, S2, S3 Elise or Exile. It is a massive improvement on functionality and looks so much more modern, it isn't particularly expensive at around £600 and could be fitted in 20 minutes if you're not faffing around filming it. Great job from LM Corse and big thanks to...

Hi pal - cheers for the kind words, the Z4M is mine. A genuine M just pretty heavily modified for track, just added Aston Martin V12 Vantage front brakes but no one really notices since they’re black! Come over for a natter next time if I’m about 👍🏻
Will definitely do next time I see you about mate, I loved it!
Oulton park 12th November next time im out mate
I'll struggle to get there during the week mate. Also had a question for you. How confident would you be putting an ST170 or similar engine in my KA?
Was a proper wet night
I remember you talking about these possibly not fitting! Looks like you proved them wrong haha
I always do haha
Nice S15 ......... 👀
Any track footage? Was teething my k24 ek4 around 12:30, adriatic blue.
No mate but these got some track footage th-cam.com/video/FErh0dfexG0/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared I think you was parked just over from us, next to a big tent thing?
Nice to see the cat supervising the job! 🙂 Looks like everything was straight forward for you, I did have one of my hoses on the front pop off even though I'd ragged on all of them to make sure they were snapped in properly but after re jiggling it the second time never had an issue since. Shame they sent the wrong frame out as well as they'll be completely different part numbers too.
In fairness, they responded on a bank hol and said they'll send the right bit out almost a year after I bought it. Mistakes happen, it's more than I expected from them to be honest 🤣
Thanks for the shout out, sir. All the best with your project(s) and drive it like you stole it. 😅
Promo>SM 😕
Looks fucking boss that mate 👌🏽
Dishwasher tablet and lemon juice worked on mine
Unfortunately, unless you clearcoat over the lens afterwards, they go yellow again in weeks. Some decent polish will protect them for a bit longer, but ultimately it's the clearcoat that makes it last. There are some rattle cans for headlights with UV protection in them...
Toothpaste job done
The best kit is lots of patience :-)
Where did you get the side vents from?
China
Hi I hope see this I'm car photographer with my own car page would you join please from the wirral
Thanks. I'll give it a go.
How do you know when this event is on? I can never find dates for it, and it always seems pretty random.
Last Sunday of every month, give their IG a follow if you're on it and they'll give you a reminder. Same with Chester one
Looking good Andrew 😎
Great video Andrew. Great insight and behind the scenes video!
Thank You GT for posting the video. Great to look back at. Excellent..
Red lotus is ours, Exige 380 😊
Its flippin lovely, I know that much
@@gtclubuk come for a spin next time 😎
Turn that satnav voice off!!

*promosm* 😡
Looks good where did the parts come from
Everything in this video specifically came from a friend in China, although there are more parts to go on that came from the UK or are genuine Porsche parts
Where did you get the spyder side intake vents from?
@@james_havlin China
Would the rear coilovers still be too tall even if they are turned right down to the lowest possible height ?
I forget exactly how we got round it but yeah we tried all the obvious stuff. I think what ended up happening was we contacted the manufacturer in China and they remade the bottom part
For the S it's a 3.4 litre in the 987.1
That's right, although I'm looking at a 3.9 or 4.1l rebuild in the new year
Could you provide us with the links to these details?
I did the same last year honda civic for honda civic my was silver to silver and less mileage 😅
Blue eg4 eg4_kboosted
Can u send me a link on the coil overs plz
Whar ya doing with wings pal ?
He's putting them on the white one eventually
good change over....you will enjoy the lsd in the white one too.
So is this kit still available? Thinking of buying a SportKa
It is but it's a waste of time really, I'll post a video about it in the coming weeks but essentially the exhaust doesn't fit and the remap box is for the wrong car, it happens all the time after speaking to other owners and SWR are not interested in helping at all
Cool!
It's good fun fitting the piggy back ecu, especially as the drawing doesn't match the wiring in the car. The manifold didn't fit mine either, so had to chop and re weld the flange on.
Yeah thats what I'm finding. What did you do with the ecu in the end?
Just counted the pins and did it that way. Still ended up with a spare wire from the piggyback ecu but seems to run well. My tip would be cut the dash around the ecu to make it easier. The exhaust just got cut and welded and cut and welded until it fit. 1st proper run out at cadwell on Thursday.
@@samcarver5338 is the info on the sheet provided for the 16v car correct? If so I have wiring diagrams for the car and can work it out that way but I wasn't sure if the box was programmed incorrectly or the wires on the diagram might not match what is in the box, if that makes sense
Great video mate
I have being thinking about doing this to my ka was it easy enough to do
yes! i've mounted a few mounts ago and it's about 20 minutes of work
Yeah really easy, the hardest bit is getting them to send you the parts
bro what suspension is this
its just some budget stuff off ebay, I can't remember what it's called now but it is in the video
03/3 22. Is that the usual amount of welding needed for a 21 year old Mark 1 Puma ? What would it cost please ?
All cars are different depending on where they've been stored etc. Some need no welding, some cant be rescued and some can be anywhere inbetween
Bought a sportka for fun 2, cheers subscriber earned
Just bought a pair for a friend.
Yes I agree, you should get what you pay for. It should be a perfect fit each and every time, good luck with other side
Has ur pal got Instagram mate? Thanks
fatbillslim
That car is so much fun and I loved it all the way round thanks for letting me lose in it
any time!
I got a subframe from Poland for the Rallycross car fitted in the original seat fittings in the car and used side mounts for the seat
I just cut the original mounts off the old sub frames and welded them onto the side mounted rails for mine and had it fixed into one place
Cool, these are base mounted seats so I can't use those but it's good to know for the future
hi mate can i ask what splitter you have on?looks really nice.
Sorry I thought I'd replied to this. It is off a MK6 Fiesta. No idea on the make, I got it 2nd hand off Ebay
@@gtclubuk how did u make it fit mate?. Thanks
@@fordsportka428 it was really easy, so I taped the splitter to the car as centrally as I could get it, pilot drilled 6 holes, drilled 6 full sized holes, put nuts and bolts through and tightened from the centre outwards so it would take some sort of form, then just angle grinded the ends off and that was it. It's not a 100% perfect fit but its a good 99.9%
@@gtclubuk thanks man so do u think the mk6 st splitters are a direct fit?
@@fordsportka428 give or take yeah, like I say I fitted it in a specific way to make it fit, the bolts do a little bit of pulling and I had to grind about 4 inches off each end but its nothing a little bit of patience cant resolve
Three sisters this Saturday you playing out
I was going to go but I only woke up at 11! Been super tired all weekend, not ideal for pinging round a track :( I'll go to the next one. Did you go? How was it?
@@gtclubuk yes mate went but only went out twice had oil coming out of one of my coilovers
@@triggelphick669 Wounded. Was there much there?
@@gtclubuk some good cars there mate
Loving the sportka content mate keep it up also where did u get your front lip from?
I got it off ebay 2nd hand. I think it was for a mk6 fiesta and it needed a bit of modification. I didn't bother making a video on it but looking back I should have. It was really easy anyway, just pull the wheels off because the splitter is too long and goes where the wheels go, then drill and bolt it in place and angle grinded the ends off. Took less than an hour and I faffed about getting it straight for quite a bit, I'd do another in half the time
What mods are you thinking about doing
I have a full exhaust inc 4-2-1 manifold, a performance cam, a remapped piggyback ecu and a k&n filter all ready to go, when we get round to it
Are you running a DET3 piggyback.
@@MultiBruce3 Nothing yet, it's 100% standard engine wise
@@gtclubuk I have a det3 piggyback to put on my van, I have made a 4-1 manifold but it's the other end that's suffering now. Over the winter I have some throttlebodies off of a bmw k1000 bike engine to fit. I will keep an eye on what your doing, it's a pretty interesting car to start tinkering with. Best think I have done is put the van on a diet since the trackday.
@@MultiBruce3 there is a kit available for my car which I have bought, called an SWR ST120 kit. If you google it and have a look, you will see whats included there. It doesn't come with a back box for the exhaust or an air filter so with those added I would expect a couple extra BHP as well. Also I have free use of this dyno and the ECU that comes with is is adjustable so I can go in and fine tune it, and when I say I, I mean Eddie who owns the dyno, I have no idea what I'm doing with the ECU. Your van is the Hijet? That looks like a fun project, maybe I'll bump into you at a track day soon. Where abouts are you based?
