I'm a small Brooklyn landlord and some of these apartments were claustrophobic. The one that was dirty with the awful bathroom that was falling apartment was cringeworthy. Maybe that's why my bank account is not as big as people think it is. I could NEVER rent something like that. Shame on the landlord.

watching this grateful i escaped the city!! But damn im lucky to have grown up in the city…because for 1,800-2,000 rent we had a huge three bedroom with my parents and this was not so long ago. I graduated hs and moved out in 2013, my parents moved out of that apartment in 2016. I’ll never understand why anyone is moving to the city now. Everyone I went to hs and middle school with escaped. Seems like anyone who grew up in the city escaped and all who’s left are transplants who don’t last two years

i live in hells kitchen and it is insanely safe! great access to central park and the west side of the city. super great restaurants as well. once you're settled into NYC your pov might change on what is "safe".

Y’all could’ve kept the cart folded up to take down the steps and separated all the clothes put them in individual bags and threw them down the steps so it’s not that much of a hassle. Because doing this going down flights of steps is crazy, especially when people have tripped and fallen down over less

To own your own washer and dryer is cheaper than a laundromat. For one year, just to wash your clothes, it is costing you $1452 at that laundromat. I know it is expensive to buy (not from a rent to own store), but in the long run you save money.
